  1. Hi all I've been reading all your posts on Diff oil (oh no you all cry), but I'm still not clear. I want to replace my stock grease in my Truggy, and was looking at the Ansmann diff oil from modelsport as it is measured in cps or the Core RC oil which is measured in cst are these the same rating? Which would you recommend for my front, mid, rear diffs? For bashing. Initially I thought 40k front, 30k mid and 20k rear cst (CoreRC) ? Thanks
  2. I already have this one http://www.hobbywing.com/product_show.asp?id=214 For another ESC, would this one work with the stock HPI ESC? (not tried it yet) Is so where would you plug it in? ( this one currently plugs into the fan port on my Ezrun ESC on my stampede)
  3. Which programme card did you buy? To work with the stock HPI esc. The HPI one seems expensive.
  4. See page 45 of the manual. By default is is switched on and set at 3.2 v cut off. http://www.hpieurope.com/manuals/pdf/101707.pdf
  5. A cheap alternative I have used is some black rubber 3/4" tap washers and drill out the center hole to fit the post (8mm I think). about 70p for 4
  6. You all probably know this but make sure your cables are tucked away! My battery cable got jammed between the pinion and spur gear of my Truggy and shorted out and has killed one of the cells on my Lipo!
  7. Im a little confused, my Trophy Truggy Flux already has 17 mm hex mounts as standard, does this mean they have upgraded the spec so this mod is no longer applicable?
  8. One quick question is it best to replace the deans connectors on the ESC for 4 or 5 mm bullet ones?
  9. I got it from Wheel Spin, went in there today (as a work only 15 mins away) told them the issue and they offered to replace it straight away, I even got them to upgrade it to a Savox 1256 and just pay the difference. Great service! Fitted it tonight, adjusted the end points and we are all back in business.
  10. Hi all Where is the best place to get a Gens Ace 4s 5000+ mah lipo (or other decent make), cheaply ! And from a trustworthy source shipped to the UK ? Got to get another battery for my HPI Truggy as its awesome ! Thanks Chris
  11. Well I had fun for the first 10 mins, after which it appear my servo has blown, in fact at the time I was driving in gently at walking pace and the steering stopped on investigation the servo was red hot! Now that's not normal I'm sure. Prior to this happening occasionally the car would move forward a bit on its own. Once I got home I proceeded to investigate further and when I turned the car on the motor would drive forward like mad, on disconnecting the servo all works fine ( the motor responds normally), every time I connect the steering servo up it goes mad again. Strange. Look like a warranty return.....
  12. Just had a quick go in the street and WOW... Off to the forest and dirt today for a real bash !
  13. Yay Just picked up a flux Truggy looks fab ! Quite big ... Nice Lipos charged... Check Once over... Check Screws tight... Check Raise the ride height... Check Ready to rock and roll !
  14. would spraying the outside of the Servo and ESC with Plastic Dip still invalidate your warranty? ... couldnt you remove the plastic before sending it back?
  15. Right I think I have decided on the HPI Truggy Flux But I have a few questions if any one can help... 1) is the servo ok to start with or is it under powered? 2) is there any benefit from running 2x2s lipos compared to 1x4s ? 3) what pinon gear should I run on a 4s (or 2x2s) so it doesn't get too hot? Thanks Chris
