No mate motor stays put , the gear (gold one) turn it till you see the screw that is in it , now take an allen key that fits that grub screw , the gold pinion gear tightens up onto the motor shaft line it all up so both gears look meshed correctly .on the motor shaft that the pinion is sat on is a flat area ,tighten screw to that mate -

Well nutty proffessor mate i have a soldering iron and have solder , so tonight i watched a you tube video and then had a go , got to say its bloody ugly soldrring but that will get better with time i think , but hey ho it worked only time will tell if its been done goid enough mate ty

Just graabbed its original nihm so if its a connection its deffo a esc connection i think the wires them selves aint good or the connection i squeeze the wires on one side it kicks into life so i think new connections on the esc, should i get the person take an inch off wire so that eliminates bad wires ?

My esavage sings a tune when its connected. , but its doing it on and off , some times work sometimes not i wiggle the battery connections and it repeats the problem now what i wanna know is A) the esc deans connectors show a lit of wear no copper/brass on them , cud this be a problem or if its just steel is it ok , Im thinking off aasking a shop to resolder it for me but should i get both batterys and esc done or just esc ty in advance

I have an esavage and it copes with 2x2s lipos fine mate ,there a gr8 little car ,its best to read a lot as nowadays when things break people substitute the parts with newer model parts , as the original parts cost a little bit more , the driveshafts are weak , hpi ones are 15 each but if you buy traxxas there 4 each is one example . If you are just gonna bash very light and love to tinker its a great car mate .
