It is indeed,very expensive when you take into account $35 shipping and customs taxes. The throttle linkage is from a savage, I just bent it to fit. The new era on isn't very good. Thanks

21, 25 and x are all the same size. The 21 and 25 have the same tyres (forget the same) the x comes with the newer style tyres again can't remember there name. The xl is much larger (and wider) than the standard size savages (21 25 and all x models) and comes with massive terra pin tyres, and has a 3-speed transmission. The x series trucks and xl trucks have better bulkhead with quick release diffs and better designed transmission boxs which allow you to change spurs without tanking the engine out. There are other differences such as different colour anodizing between models. Thanks

Force .36, lrp zr.32 come to mind as the 2 engine I'd say come just below the .50 in terms of torque. They both have huge amounts more top end over the .50 though which is nice. Edit: 2 hours is pretty good, Most I've had is 5 hours that was from my hyper st pro before the glow plug got fowled and I had no replacement so that ended the bash.

K&N filter's aere designed to clean claen air they are therfor less restrictive, if you takr them into an off-road enviroment they lit allsorts of small particles into the engine, run a few tanks off-road with a K&N filter and tanke the engine head off the piston will bel covered in small particles dust. Unless you run on-road stay away from those air filters., Money is better saved for a higher cc engine. Thanks

As I said the best thing to do would be to get a body shell, I don't run engine protector's on my to extended irc savages you don't need them. Cheers.

Hi the xl engine guard won't fit as the irc chassis's aren't the same length as an xl chassis best bet is just to get a body shell.

Mount not necessary, t-maxx or revo version. Not willing to pay silly amount's for a worn engine, need to be in good condition. Thanks

There is no lesson to be learned, I bought something it should of been as per the description. I have reached an amicable solution with the seller which seem to be a full re-fund but I have jet to receive the funds. It seems he bought the engine in a lot of parts he got with a revo which seems fair enough. Problem solved thanks for all of your input Also passed my driving test with no faults so today's a good day.

Are you serious? You can't seriously be saying that you can sell something as used that's as badly damaged as this and it's fine because he didn't say it's working? It's the sellers responsibility to make an accurate description end off. Should have been listed as a very nice oily paper weight.

What I found when I took the engine head off: What a joke the piston has severe scoring meaning it's pretty much stuck the button head is stripped and has pieces of piston stuck to it and the liner had fairly severe scoring. Any advice as to how I should get this issue resolves is most welcome. I'm not about to be childish and shoot off a hot headed email to the guy as that would not help anything. Thanks

Evssv I have that exact same wheel tyre set-up on my savage xl axial oversized wheels (miner are white) and 40 series trenchers they weigh a tone don't they . They are nice though.

Depends on what fuel you use bit generally yes. For example high oil fuel will give good smoke even when silly lean. Thanks
