  1. Sold the roller, Turnigy Balancer/Charger and tyres to Hyper-D as he had first bid. - Sorry Stu!! Sold brushless converter kit to Papa. The Turnigy Servo is currently pending to another user.
  2. I didn't put a price on the roller as I'm not into this scene and wouldn't know where to start. That said I've taken a quick look at hyper 7's in the sale section and the prices vary from
  3. PM's sent to Rocker & Hyper. Once concluded will update list or move dibs to next in line.
  4. Guys i should have stated in the OP but as for 3-4 replies in the span of 5 mins I will have to do first come first serve. I will get back to everyone ASAP
  5. Hi Roker99, Thanks for your interest. I'm guessing you mean all the electric conversion stuff including the buggy & controller and not the old engine etc etc ??
  6. Hey guys, Selling my Hyper 7 black edition. Used to be a nitro buggy but wanted to go electric for easier use. I got nearly all the parts but then lost interest and need the money. 7. Hi guys, I've got the ball rolling and parts are slowly arriving in the post 2 more questions however! 1. Seems the conversion kit linked on the first page has been out of stock for a while. I check back today and it seems it's now discontinued by the supplier and im having trouble finding it on another UK site. Does anyone know if the hyper 8 conversion kit would suffice? http://www.modelsport.co.uk/absima-brushless-conversion-kit-for-hobao-hyper-8/rc-car-products/369637 2. I got the http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=7028 Stupidly i thought this came with a powersupply. Which one should i get? I look on the powersupply option and there are loads. Thanks again
  8. Sounds good, think i'll get the first one you purchased. My Habao steering servo seems a bit on the weak side. Could you recommend any? do all fit? I've also removed all the throttle pins which were connected so the throttle servo, i don't need this do i? Last question hopefully for a while - Do i need to learn anything about the geering? you've said you've geared yours to 19/47 which has gone over my head. Don't you just connect the motor to the receiver and press go?
  9. Cheers Noj and Slugsie i think i'll be purchasing soon! What battery do you use in your set up? And do you know what wires/connecters to use? thanks again.
  10. Hi guys, im about to go purchasing a brushless engine package, is the one posted by slugsie a decent one for what im looking for? @
  11. Thanks guys, when starting a new topic to a new community I'm always wary about the feedback i'll get. But this has been really friendly and helpful, I'll take on board the advice given and see about dismantling/selling components asap. Cheers
  12. Thanks for the responses guys, i might have a go at this. Especially if i can't get a more decent car buying outright. I take it the servo's stay the same as they're powered by the on board battery? I haven't touched it in a while due to it not working so can't quit remember how it worked. I've looked at the links posted by the member in this thread i found: http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/77080-hyper-7-brushless-conversion/ http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/74972-project-hyperactive/?p=693561&fromsearch=1#entry693561 I'm not after the most badass motor, i just want to enjoy my car for once :/ will this
  13. That's an interesting idea.. Is this an easy thing to do for a novice? and i guess I'd be saving a bit? Are there any decent threads on this? Lots of questions sorry!
  14. Morning guys, May i ask for recommendations for a decent brushless car? My budget is
  15. hi there, yes another hyper 7 thread! im new to the rc scene so.. - when the electrics are on and i steer the car when still, it doesnt seem to move much, maybe a third of its full turn. is this normal when the motor is off or should there be alot more power depending on the servo? - i have an earlier hyper 7 Black E, so i believe it has the old plastic servos and they sound knackered, do i have to replace the throttle servo as well if i change the steering servo? and with the same make/model? - does a more powerful servo use more battery power or its just a case that its stronger, simple as? - lastly, what kind of servo do i want to be looking at, the beginner FAQ says the hitec 645mg servo, however in my other thread someone suggested the Power HD high torque 1501mg. i did state the cheapest/ most reliable as im only just getting into rc'ing. advice is most appreciated thanks!
  16. update, i took it to the hobby shop and the guy fixed the idle rev's, brakes work without stalling the car. very happy now! can tune the car now it runs idle ok. yeah the gold needle (high speed needle i think its called?) and the low speed one are all over the place, like i said now the idle is sorted i can tune it properly. thanks for all replies, problem sorted
  17. yeah i oiled the servo and screw and i think i know what the problem is, i set the trim to normal then i had to adjust the metal link arms on the servo, they were loose. me and my bro had a whack at it and we got the idle speed down in the end. turns out when i adjusted the metal link arms the servo response was better but still not great. at least i could apply the brakes. however before this i took the whole carb off again and cleaned each peice so i know its not the dirt.. the thing is to get to this stage iv adjusted all the knobs to get the idle speed set right, now it stalls when i brake and doesn't run right. im guna see if that modelshop will have a look at it as they know what their doing. thanks for your help guys, ill get there in the end! P.S: the servo you linked, i want two right for steering and throttle? ebay its $16 and on modelsport its
  18. thanks for the reply! right now problem number 2!: i thought it was that and was turning it but nothings closing which made me believe it might had been something else. so what do i do if that screw isnt doing anything? get a new carb? or hopefully a smaller piece? also i think i believe you about the knackered servo because it does seem unresponsive at times and not very powerful, the trims do nothing untll they reach max on either end of the scale. can anyone recommend some that do the trick, cheap and reliable? thanks!
  19. hi again, thanks for your quick replies, iv done what you suggested. but again it seems im having a little trouble, my idle speed is sky rocket high, and fuel is coming out the exhaust, when i tip it sideways (when off) its leaking out! took the air filter off to have a look at how wide the gap is and i'd say 4mm open! i believe it should be 1.5? anyway its 2nd hand so i dont have the manual, and i cant find the idle speed needle, i thought i had found it but im turning it counter clock wise and its just getting looser with the gap not closing. heres a pic.. anyone know where it is?' cant find an online manual.. thanks
  20. whoa sorry but im completely new to the rc scene and car bits and bobs. i had to look at many guides to understand how to take my carb off before it just took some strength as it was seized, would take it to my local hobby shop but they wern't very helpful last time i went so what is a setrvo horn, tx's and rx's etc??
  21. hi there, just got my hyper 7 off another member. i managed to start the car after cleaning the carb and exhaust out and went to test it at low speed and the brakes wont work. i tried only to use the brakes with the case on and nothing happens. does anyone know if its a case of me setting it up the right way or has something broken and i need to replace it? heres a vid to show what im on about
