Thanks. I've also been recommended a sidewinder. Which is better and more useful if I decided to upgrade the motor at some point too?

I need a new ESC for my traxxas stampede 4x4 vxl as the ESc has died. Is there another choice for a replacement instead of the very expensive and not so good Traxxas one? thanks!

Thanks for the reply, I'll take some more pics this evening with a date card and my username tonight. Completely understand the hesitancy! I didn't sell it before because of the fault that developed. I actually refunded the guy who bought it (a member on here) before I sent it because I realised the fault - great timing!

It needs some TLC or possibly a return to Traxxas for a new ESC?? The truck was working fine until recently. The problem it has is that when the truck starts up it stutters from the start a number of times before taking off. Once it takes off it goes like a rocket (especially on the Life cells). It is also stuck in the mode that disables reverse (one of the training modes). I've tried reading the manual and changing the modes but I can't get it out of it! I've read up on this type of problem and some have fixed it by sending to Traxxas for a new ESC (About
