  2. Omg guys thats all just nasty!! Im glad its not happand to me.....yet. The park i run my nitros on has a strict policy about dog crap thay allways fine the owner if thay see it get layed. But the field ive been running my petrol on is not so clear, fank god for "Muck off" and no thats not a joke its a bike cleaner, even gets rid of the wiff. Btw
  3. Have a look at this mate, this is how hubby did it http://www.ehow.com/how_7495761_remove-paint-rc-body.html
  4. Update: Im lowering the price of this to
  5. Ahh ok my bad, may be i should wake up proper before i hit the fourms
  6. I warn you puting alloy parts on is not a grate idea, as it will just brake else were and cost more to fix, the best hop ups for this truck are Mid/stiff springs to help handleing and stop rear end power dip A tuned exhaust pip set to up your rpm, as that engine is mostly torque and will make it faster. If u want to make it handle evan better remove the little preload clips from the shocks it makes a big diffrence and set camber on the rear, once this is done it will slide better witch helps avoid roll ovas.
  7. Awsom birthday prezzy mate Little bit of advice, cheak all the bolts on the engine and drive as thay rattle loose on them ( i know from experence) get some blue thred lock you will be needing lots of it.
  8. Hi I have a fg leopard, thay are very powerfull and solid as a rock. you cant go far wrong with one really. The thick alloy base would be hard to bend and the engine is solid. As the wheel base is quite short thay corner very well, ive not tested this but i think it will out turn the baja very easy There are plenty of tuneing parts for them but thay are not cheap. I would advise you to go for the 4wd it will be easyer for the young lad to handle, as the 2wd can be a bit of a handfull on lose or wet ground. But a 1/6 scale may be a little big for a 12 year old.. But under your care he may be ok.
  9. Has any one got the fg leopard 2wd manual that you dont need? Pm me if u have. happy to pay a few
  10. Lol no but would be kool if it did at least i know what it is now
  11. Hubby says, car trim tape, ita cheap, strong and water proof Please delete this dubble up.
  12. Hubby says, car trim tape, ita cheap, strong and water proof
  13. There is 3 problems with that You cant use petrol or nitro indoors, There are very few indoor tracks , you cant really bash indoors
  14. i used barthroom sealer on my servo, batt box, reciver box last year worked quite well, but it only got damp from splash and spray. Just put it on your finger and smeer were u want it. Scrapes off easy when needes to.
  15. Thats what i have in mind, but ill use stiff card as a template as i only plan on doing it once...i hope. The beauty of building the mock up on the car is i can see just about how it will look before i fibire glass it. I can set curves, ridges etc easy, the mud guards i have planed could be the tricky part as i want them as part of the shell at the rear, as i will have to space them out to fit ova the wheels beond the sus arms. But if i have to ill make them 2nd and glue or rivit to the shell.
  16. Im not going For the typical buggy shell style lile u get with smaller models, As it will be easyer to make. I have worked with the fibre glass kits before when i was doing my desgin corse at college. Its quite east to work with and if i keel the resen to a min still flexable to a degre. Im working on a drawing at the min, baseing it on a ansmann kinda shell i have as a aid
  17. Thats really kool but i dont plan to go into that detail as im going for a buggy shape, but my own spin on it, mud guards / light pods if i can make it work if not just the basic shell style
  18. Thanks. But thay are just stock style shells im gona give makeing one a try first
  19. Thats what i was finking i have a idea for shell style allready, but i cant do anything till i get it back from service.
  20. All tho we are not sure what my fg is ( sold to us as a marder, but its not) not that it maters outher than parts. Ive been looking at shells and there all ova
  21. The only way i cam fink off is put some shims in, depending on the amount you need. It sounds like thay are just to small or the wroung offset,
  22. Me and hubby are at dunwich with my fg, my god its awsom, hubby just jumped it from top of a 10ft dune and landed it perfect ^^ on the slope on outher side The only thing we both dont like is the old AM stick transmiter but that will be sorted asap He says that the rear end is much better off road so was the fact that it was in a wet carpark causeing it,
  23. Haha oh we have a ladys man do we im just your typical petrol head dont fink gender makes a diffrence
