  1. Nice one! I've also read about giving a coat of clear laquer to stop dulling, (obviously not recommended for anything inernal)
  2. Ok, thanks for that. Will get it in the post with receipt. Nothing to lose really, it's dead anyway.
  3. Takes the slop out of diffs mate, ensuring good mesh. There's a good bit on here about shimming diffs
  4. I ran a few laps with it at swindon berore handing over any money. It's mental fast compared to my truggy! More than I'm used to lol. Gonna be a fun learning curve (any advice greatly received) The engine is a losi 350. Amazing response after the Mach 28. Real nice bottom end punch. Just gotta strip everything. Putting the diffs to 5 7 3 to start with, feel nice in my st so see how it compares on this one. You still comin Sunday?
  5. Well after all my plans for a Losi, I ended up with a different RC8B. Bought from chap at track. RTR with losi 350 in. Dx3s, starter box, two sets of wheels, glowstarter, fuel and some spares. Now in the process of complete strip down and rebuild
  6. Sorry, couldn't resist... Here she is before I stripped her down....
  7. Swindon, see how I fair against you now I have a buggy
  8. Paul Barret posted some dates for swords... Were they on FB?
  9. Rang CML, they can't take it back without a warranty card. And guess what seems to have been thrown out... Guess I'll have to take this on the chin. Worst bit is I cannot afford to replace it. Excuse me while I go and swear...
  10. Gonna be sellin some heli's soon

  11. The worst bit is I read this a while ago, and forgot to do it... God I wish I had
  12. Somehow today the truck was left on with the transmitter off. This had sent it to failsafe, locking the brake on. I don't know how long it had been like this when I found it. Upshot is, when I came to race, no servo. At first I thought it was not getting power, then I remembered turning the truck off earlier. I think it's gonna be burnt out. Can't face looking at it yet. Still too gutted
  13. Just looking for the link mate... Here ya go... http://www.modelsport.co.uk/fastrax-shim-set-4-sizes/rc-car-products/14766 Not sure if they are the best, but they fit. Just done my ST with them
  14. We're off to Swindon track today, else we'd have come along
  15. Breakfast then off to the track :D

  16. Hi guys As title really. I'm tired off shearing body pins on my RTR. I know I'll have to change the shock tower, but is it possible to change to a pro set up without drilling or serious modding? Thanks folks Rob
  17. Waiting for the chinese to arrive :)

  20. Interesting read http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/details_of_council_owned_scrub_l *edit* Well it'd be rude not too http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/details_of_emptyderelict_land/new
  21. Nice one dude. Excuse my ignorance... What's the difference between a 'b' and an 'eu'?
  22. I've been wondering the same... I know there is a bit of a movement lately for people approaching councils for unused/derelict public land and converting them to allotments for local use. I can see no reason why, with the correct approach, a council couldn't be asked for use of derelict land to make a course. I would approach it that we have to use bmx tracks which annoys bikers. It also means some untidy scrub land gets a face lift and looked after by the locals at no cost to the council No harm in asking if there is any unused land away from residential areas. I think the trick would be to second guess their arguments against, and think through a workaraound. Good luck, no harm in asking!
