  1. Lol, I upgraded my Thro/brake servo to a 15kg Hextronic, and went for one of these packs... http://www.ebay.co.u...=item5645e8bd6b Much improved the braking! Though I'm getting one of those dynamite thr/brake assemblies as soon as I can tto. Good to meet you and the guys Evssv Still waiting on ebay for Maria's driveshaft. And some locking nuts too, lol.
  2. Hi guys I know I'm kinda new here, but just wondered if anyone would like to join me for Movember? You might have seen the ad's on TV. Basically, women's health is well advertised and supported - breast cancer awareness, tickled pink, etc... Meanwhile us men tend to ignore our health. We often just put off going to the doctors and trust that 'it'll be ok'. This is where Movember came from. How many of us blokey blokes actually go to the doctor as soon as we see something wrong? Not many! Movember is basically a campaign to firstly raise awareness in men about their health, and secondly to raise money for initiatives that support and research cancer in men. Particularly testicular and prostate cancer. There are many ways to get involved. I have become a 'Mo Bro' for Movember. The idea being I grow a moustache for the whole of Movember. I'm going to look like a complete arse! Any of you guys who want to join in you can join my team at the link below. The sillier the better I reckon. I'm going for the gringo/biker/trucker style. Anyone says YMCA they get whipped Mo Sista's are also welcome to support their Mo's in the pursuit of gentlemanly finery. I have three For those that don't feel up to looking an eejit in public, you can always sponsor or donate to me/my team, again, details below. Thanks for taking the time to read, and this ain't for you, at least go and play with your balls My MoSpace - http://mobro.co/robboardman Movember Homepage - http://uk.movember.com/?home Cheers Rob
  3. Am I allowed in with a stock ST? Pleeease? http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/13770-/ http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/13771-/ *edit* I guess I can only link to pics, and not upload them straight to the editor
  4. Sorry, but I need BOTH hands... I have throttle set on the right stick, as it's sprung
  5. I'll try and get there! I used to drive past that hangar too, always wondered what was in there lol
  6. As A newb I seem to have settled on sticks. Mainly cos I already got the TX for my heli's so just banged another model in the memory. Missus uses the pistol that came with my hyper and TBH it feels wrong to me. I seem to have more feel for steering with a stick. Gonna get her a DX3 for chrimbo then have mine back. Might try it for a bit longer, but don't think it's for me. Besides, using the sticks keeps my orientation going for the helis too. Mind, I'm still crap at both Rob
  7. Man I could have done with that this morning when my battery holder got ripped out. Just watching it scream off at full throttle into the trees was horrible
  8. Sorry for all the questions guys. Today I lost my second battery holder (came out while on full throttle, maaan did I have to run!). The design of the cover that holds them in seems daft. I would expect it to go round the other way so it encases the battery pack, but it wont fit! Aaaanyway. I really need to upgrade to a proper NiMH pack, so which ones definitely fit? I have both battery covers that come with RTR. The 'box' one and the 'stick' one. Any ideas gratefully received Cheers Rob
  9. Damn, I missed this. Would have come down and spectated/helped Rob
  10. Thanks fella, will try that. Though I have just found my servo has got no power. I can pull brake on harder than the servo! More kilo's needed I think this one is only 6KG will have to check.
  11. Hi guys. I want to set my brakes up with more bias on the rear, but the rear brake seems pretty naff. Front bite hard but however much I pull the lever I can't seem to get the rears to lock. Is this normal for a Hyper or can I do anything? Cheers for reading Rob
  12. MMR? That's a vaccine ain't it? And Hi to Hartcliffe
  13. Thanks guys, great info! I'll start checking around the plug then. All I know for now is the top of the fins hardly get warm. I can hold my hand on them forever. Hope this means I can squeeze lots more power yet. ( I somehow doubt it as she goes like sheeit of a shovel now). Interesting about taking half a tank to warm. Mine seems the same, in fact sometimes almost a whole tank before she'll get close to that lovely zingy whine of running sweet, like it's too rich. Don't want to lean her anymore yet though as I've only done 9 or 10 tanks so far. Will wait till this bottle of 16 is finished then think about upping nitro and tuning from there. Thanks for all the support guys, makes this a lot less scary. Rob
  14. Hi folks. I'm just coming to the end of breaking in the macstar 28, and have a question on temperature. Don't have a temp gun so I'm using the water drop technique. BUT (here's the dumb bit), do I drop it on the very top of the head (fins) or on the actual cylinder head by the glow plug? Want to check before I start leaning her out. Cheers Rob
  15. Ha! Brilliant! Better get down there and learn the course then
  16. I'm in Warmley mate, not far from Keynesham bmx track I'd love to drop by fella! Where do you normally bash/race?
  17. Hi All Just got my first ever nitro truggy. Hobao Hyper ST. Just going through the run in stage, so I'm sure I'll have some questions before long... My other toys are helicopters. I fly a trex 450 and a Raptor 30. Can't wait to start joining in here Cheers Rob
