  1. Filed a little material from the FR suspension mount so the belt would clear it, and the same for the upper deck.
  2. thank you very much dear @frst for all the info and links I went through all these but can't find a mention regarding the FR piece not clearing the belt, so I have to keep researching or just 3d print a mod over all the build is very interesting and for the money a good value, quality materials, fiber reinforced chassis and top deck, tight tolerances, only downsides up to now is this thing with the belt and the top deck making contact with the diff (needs some trimming) will update after driving it
  3. anyone here with a Yokomo RS 1.0? having some issues with belt making contact with FR Suspension mount, is it only me?
  4. thought it might be intresting to share this: I used the following tlr parts: tlr6314 tlr4165 and 2 flat head screws battery stays firm no matter what :-)
  5. +1 some cases of what hydro is describing could be: a high Amper draining servo, or a fast throttle acceleration while using a budget or a discharged battery pack (that creates an instate of voltage drop) etc
  6. Can I use the "Bind" port on a Spektrum SR3500 Micro RX for installing the spm1600 Voltage Protector Capacitor? (all other ports are already occupied by steering servo, ESC Throttle , and Transponder).
  7. generally "turns" term is used more for brushed motors and respectively "kv" to rate the brushless ones (even though both types of motors internally do have "turns" of wire around a core and also a kv rating, but that's an other topic) roughly the less turns a brushed motor has the more RPM (rounds per minute) will give, but at the same time less torque will have. now regarding compatibility, in terms of "will it bolt on my car" the answer is: yes it will. the question is more like " will be ok for this type of car (and on-road rally) and will it be fun to drive etc, that's an other question for that you need to check each motor's recommended gearing chart (it's a chart showing the various combination of pinion and spur great that will make the motor perform correctly (without over heating)) then you need to check if you can find these gears (as hoop-ups, or after market) for you car in order to experiment a bit I know that all this might sound like complicate but, hey, that's the beauty of it, spending time (and money :-) searching, asking, experimenting, assembling, testing, driving and so on, of this hobby
  8. I own almost all tamiya motors types and they are great, but have to admit that they are overpriced. tamiya motors are not that much performance minded, but mostly aiming to last for ever with their great quality. if you want something that will excite your racing side then sure look for something faster (less than 25t for sure) If you don't want to go brushless (that is highly advisable with the options and prices available these days) then check for sure other brands that have brushed ones.
  9. hi, need advise on tyre insert type (brand, recommended softens) for my Losi 22 , running mostly on medium compacted dirt, thanx in advance
  10. EC3 and EC5 coz I find them easy enough to solder and big enough so I can hold them securely when want disconnect them (compared to DEANS) (using 5000 Lipo)
