decent strong body shell for a tmaxx 3.3 with the longer body. I am after something strong enough to withstand jumps and be strong enough to protect the engine as well as I haven't found an engine roll cage I like yet. Preferably clear so I can design it myself.

If its stalling then turn your idle up a touch just enough to keep it ticking over

Don't get me wrong I think £100,000 is a lot of money as well but I grew up with nothing still have nothing but I am still happy as hell in life. Money isn't important to me, if it was a sum of money that would buy me a house then I would snap it up but round here £100,000 won't buy me a house

No, £100,000 is not alot of money any more so wouldn't last very long. My hobbies last a life time.

Hi all, just had a clear out and don't need these parts anymore due to the fact I have either replaced with RPM or just have way more than needed in the spares pot not sure on price so say offers on the whole lot together

I've just had this headache fella, I was struggling to break in a new engine yesterday. Just be paitient it will work. I had the same problems you are having it kept sticking at TDC etc. I found once running I had to let it idle for a few minutes to warm up before I started any break in procedure, but then the Traxxas break in method is different to yours.

I have to say a massive thank you to everyone's help and advice, after a huge amount of persistance it is now well and truly alive. Its all run in and tuned and goes like a dream again thank you to all for your help

I've just had a chill out period, well I took the wife to asda, so now ready to crack on. I was making good progress before she demanded we need to go shopping.

Tried that still no good, I'm getting worried that all this messing about is going to damage the engine anyway.

I've got it in the air at the moment on bricks trying to start with no load, got a hairdryer on it pretty at all times now to stop the TDC and to keep heat on it. I'm slowly getting there but just can't get it to tick over now. The engine is very tight. I have had nitro's before but always bought second hand, already broke in this is the first engine I have ever broken in myself and am getting frustrated now.

Seriously had enough now it just keeps jamming at TDC I can't even turn it over with out it sticking. I think my next post might be in the for sale section

What are the rules for heating the engine with a hairdryer, I mean do you just point the hairdryer at the side of the block or take the glow plug out and fire it down there, and for how long?

Cheers for all the help fingers crossed it is now sorted, roll on tomorrow morning when I will be breaking it in and then bashing at the weekend.

Thank you all for your replies, I'm slowly getting it sorted. Went to my local store who where very helpful, whilst they where having a look for me the EZ starter motor went up in smoke so I got a new motor which I am in the middle of putting in. Hopefully that will sort the problem then I can break it in tomorrow and go up Otterbourne bashing at the weekend

Hi all, I have a Traxxas T-Maxx 3.3 which I bought second hand and the piston promptly melted. I have just put in a new 3.3 and went to my local park but it wouldn't fire up because there seems to be a problem with the EZ start motor. If I take the EZ start of the car it spins freely as it should but if I attach it back on the car and try to start it won't turn. I'm stuck for ideas as to what it is could some kind sole please help me so I can get this engine broken in.

I made an order with Wheelspin yesterday for a new 3.3 engine, then I came on here and saw this thread and got really worried I wasn't going to receive my engine. It has turned up here this morning in less than 24hrs so I can't grumble about that. I would use them again as the service and delivery I got was spot on.

Hi all, I have a traxxas t-maxx 3.3 and went to start it today but there was no hope of it starting. The ez start wand is fine but I did notice the ez start motor was struggling, is this an easy fix ie just buy another motor or is there something else wrong with it? any help greatly appreciated.
