  2. New glow plug (get a selection if possible) And What fuel you running? Get some quality Byron race fuel. Hope you get sorted.
  3. Hi The engine is a total pig to tune and run in, from what I can make out off the net most kyosho engines are! I'm just starting to lean her off a bit after 5 tanks, my mate has a new hyper 7 .28 (at the same stage of running in) and he is having so much less hassle than me. when its hot its near impossible to start, but its getting better each time I run it. I plan to replace the needle washers in the carb with aftermarket items ASAP as apparently these are the reason they go out of tune. we shall see.
  4. The clutch shoes do fit. You also need to replace the low speed needle rubber O rings with NON KYOSHO items as the original rings are useless (too small) and you will never get a good tune. This is recommended for all Kyosho GX range engines, new or old. Hope this helps someone in the future.
  5. Hi Thanks for your reply. I eventually found an exploded view of both the versions, and a kind man at a Kyosho specialists on Ebay.. I was very surprised to find that they are completely different??? So I have basically had the wrong flywheel as the 21's flywheel is deeper in size hence the problem I'm getting with space. So in answer to my own question (and for anyone's future reference) If you want to fit a GXR28se to an inferno mp7.5 you need the following parts from a inferno US sports. Engine Engine mounts (4 items) Flywheel Flywheel nut Ball raced clutch bell and bearings. "Special type" clutch pads (optional) The washers and spacers can be used off the GX21. **possibly the clutch shoes but I'm yet to find out as I'm waiting for the parts** Part numbers and exploded views can be found on "infernos only" http://www.infernosonly.com/Download_Kyosho_Inferno_Lazer_and_Ultima_Kit_Manuals_s/25.htm Cheers.
  6. Hi I have a MP7.5 sports 4 and I'm "trying" to fit a GXR28 SG engine to it. So far I have Purchased the correct engine mounts and balled raced clutch housing and flywheel nut but I have used the original GX21 flywheel/clutch shoes etc. The problem im getting is that the bell housing all intrudes into the center diff pinion and I can't move the engine block further backwards because the pull start then hits the rear diff driveshaft cup? Its a royal nightmare Its almost like the clutch/flywheel/bell housing I'm using just sticks out too far?? Any advice or pointers would be great please. has anyone done this conversion? what am I doing wrong? is the flywheel/clutch off the GX21 no good for this? Many thanks, I'm at my whits end Adam
