  1. Yeh, I've played COD since COD4... still play that one sometimes as It's the only one i've kept longer than a couple of weeks! Strange to think that, 7 years (!) on, folks are still playing it online. Anyhoo, this one is very different. I'd say more..."Arcadey"? Whatever, i'm still getting my ass handed to me by 10 year olds 42 year old reactions aren't the same
  2. Anyone got it yet? Seems very different to recent COD games... obviously it's set in the future I'm liking it so far... playing private matches with bots to get used to the maps etc, and the 'Combat Readiness' mode (never played that before), where matched players find their feet and K/D ratios aren't counted (just kills/assists). Enjoying it so far - add me " humperdingle " on PSN (PS3)
  3. Bamboo skewers or toothpicks for getting at the 'deep' mud I use a painters' 'fitch' brush, which has stiffer bristles and is rounded.
  4. Check youtube - a charger can be knocked-up with a cheap 12v transformer. I have one sitting waiting on that very job.
  5. Not very, unless you upgrade, but they're great fun. Think 'Scalextric' without the slots.
  6. An Alias cam to go with my Christmas pressie.... but it's for Cwistmas, so be vewwy, vewwy quiet
  7. Yeh, wood wasp. I got one in a load of timber I had delivered for a fence... almost **** myself Apparently, the huge 'stinger' is actually an egg-laying device?!
  8. I've never asked for them... maybe they just send them when they have stock of the pages? I'll see if they send one next week with my Christmas pressie
  9. Welcome along! I don't think i'd sell the vintage models. Why don't you take the existing Hornet back to its original exploded-self, clean it and rebuild from scratch? That'd get you back into building RC for free until funds are available.
  10. If I had a spare E-Firestorm shell, i'd probably have a go at a Modelsport-inspired shell... don't think my HPI gives a Flux as it's too new
  11. Do you guys ever use those pages of stickers that Modelsport package with an RC order? I have two pages of them, but no idea where to....ahem... 'shove them' (Painful suggestions need not apply ) Anybody covered an RC shell with them??
  12. Micros are great... I have a Micro-T and a Micro Desert Truck... if I was going to buy another, it'd definitely be the desert version - slightly bigger and just seems sturdier. Awesome little motors, and you can have a mini track set up in no time, with bits and pieces you'll find lying around!
  13. I had a Jimny for 3 years, great wee go-anywhere motor. Unfortunately I can't offer any advice as the engine on mine was faultless during the time I had it. Try bigjimny forum for help
  14. Dunno... probably something rotor-based. Missus is bothering me about a combined birthday/Christmas pressie but my budget is only half of the
  15. Sounds reasonable. If you're happy, that's the main thing.
  16. Open a dispute with ebay if he doesn't respond. Problem is, you've started tinkering with it. You might get some kind of refund, though.
  17. Cant fault them on a couple of recent purchases. Bought a Firestorm Flux with free battery, but the battery had Tamiya connector, not Deans. A phone call had an adaptor with me next day!
  18. Did this thread start as a referendum debate? I need a decent place for mucking about with the Firestorm around Dunfermline/Kelty... any pointers?
  19. Cheers for the heads-up on Schumacher stuff... tried it today - goes on smoothly and doesn't oxidise straight away!
  20. Was it an ebay purchase? Was it misrepresented on the listing?
  21. Internet shopping is never a good idea after a few jars
  22. I built my 1st Tamiya (Grasshopper) a couple of weeks ago... more straightforward than I thought. Only ever 'built' a Kyosho Sandmaster nitro, but from memory, it was 50% built out of the box. Something theraputic about building kits!
