  1. Oh, sorry. You're quite right. My mistake. Last night I recharged both the transmitter and reciever battaries. I tried my E-firestorm again this morning. And it worked fine, but in the last couple of minutes when the car battaries where losing charge, it started to do it's weird losing connection thing again. Is this normal!? By the way, this is a brand new truck. Only opened on Boxing Day.
  2. No, I use these battaries in my transmitter.
  3. HELP! I got the new E-Firestorm waterproof for Christmas. I was using it last night in the house (so obviously I didn't go very fast) and I used it for about ten minutes. This morning I did a few tests on it. e.g checking the fail safe works. After that, I took it out for a drive. It work fine for about two minutes, then I started having some issues. I kept losing contact with the car. If i pushed it with my foot to get it going it would work fine. But then it would stop and I'd have to push it again. Now I figured it was pretty obvious that the car battary could be one of the problems here. But in the reciever I was using some rechargable battarys which where pretty low on power, so they're a likely suspect. The last possiblity I can think of is that I haven't propaly binded the transmitter to the reciever. Can anyone confirm that one of these is the problem, or can someone think of something that I haven't yet. Thanks.
  4. What about: How to maintain a brushed motor? That's what I want to know.
  5. Wouldn't that ruin it, overheat it, or make impossible to do maintanance?
  6. I don't suppose you could explain that in English? Are you saying I need to change the ESC too?
  7. I need a battery and charger for the E-firestorm I'm planning to get. What should I get? I don't want to spend over
  8. Yeah, that's all well and good, but I need to know if it's easy to install or not.
  9. I want a HPI E-Firestorm and a body to go with it, but theirs hardly ANY prepainted bodyshells for the E-firestorm. So I was thinking maybe I could paint my own, 'cosI do Airfix revell models ect. and I like that sor of thing. But is it particuarlly expensive? What stuff would I need? Could I get a body shell from a different manufacture? Or could I get some else to paint one for me? HELP!
  10. There is acctually a warning label on the truck that says: Warning:(1/10th scale) The electronic speed controller ESC on this model is designed to operate with 7.2v 1800mAh- 3600mAh Ni-MH battery only. Operating beyond recommended specification (using the incorrect type of battery or higher capacity battery) might dammage the ESC. And that is word for word QUOTE! So I'll look for a Vapextech on eBay. Is there any chance I could find one somewhere else? I'm don't always feel safe with eBay...
  11. He's got a brushed, but I just realised that the ESC might be damaged if you use a battery more powerful than 3600Mah. So just a good make would be helpful now!
  12. Hi guys, I was planning on getting a normal HPI E-Firestorm and the maybe installing a brush less motor of my choice later. (Emphasis on the maybe.) So I need to Know: What would be the best type of motor? Are the different types of motor for different uses (e.g Bashing, racing) Is a motor easy to Install? Is it just easier to get the FLUX? I don't want to get it wrong with something this expensive. I would think it would be easier to buy a FLUX but I don't have much money. Budget of around 200 quid) Thanks.
  13. What would be a good charger and battery for the "new" E-Firestorm?
  14. I would recomend this. http://www.modelsport.co.uk/hpi-e-firestorm-10t-rtr-2.4ghz/rc-car-products/39729 I know it's more expensive, but you only get what you pay for.
  15. My little brother wants a new battery with a nice big capacity. He has a HSP Bug Crusher. What would be the best option?
  16. Ok, so everyone is generally saying the same thing. .AJ. said don't get that charger. Can anyone recommend a decent charger and battery?
  17. Hi again everyone. I still haven't decided about this E-firestorm yet, but I have narrowed it down to just a few options. First option is to simply buy the New E-firestorm with everything for 179.00. This of course means NO BRUSH LESS MOTOR! Second option, I buy the "original" FLUX from JEspares, and buy an awesome charger, battery and body shell for around 250.00 quid. Third option. I could buy the "original" FLUX and buy a small battery for 8.99 and use my old charger. This works up around about 190.00. The fourth and final option is something in between the third and second options. I don't have a HUGE budget and I don't want to spend to much money. Please help. RANDOM SIDE NOTE: I don't suppose anyone here knows about PS3's. Mine is broken...
  18. I just reailised, that I still have my old Ni-Cd SC1800mAh 7.2v Battery from my HBX Bonzer. Would it be possible to use it in an E-Firestorm? HPI says you need a LiPO or a NiMh, but is it just a money grabber?
  19. Does anyone know whether or not that something of This shape will fit into an E-Firestorm?
  20. Ok, thanks. I didn't think they'd be anything special...
  21. Thanks for the heads up, but at that price, I won't go for it. And anyway, I havn't raised the money for a car yet. So thanks, but no thanks.
  22. One more thing, Does anyone know anything about This?
