  1. Afternoon all Long time no see... Well as usual I I've broke so ethjng... This time a shock! I'm in need on a replacement so If anyone has a spare Aluminuim shock they would like to sale, just let me know.. One that would fit the Savage X 4.6 Monster truck (I think mine are A720 but anything similar would be great. Doesn't have to be an exact match, but if you have an aluminium shock (with a stiff spring) that you want/need to off load, let me know and I'll buy it.. Rusty I'll you see this before I get a chance to text you, if you have any in your "shop" (aka cupboards) I can swing by and pick it up and drop some cash of for you anytime that's good for you Cheers
  2. Hi, I'm looking to get hold of a 1/8 or a 1/10th monster beetle style truck (electric brushless) Truggy/monster truck. Ideally in the style of the FG Monster Beetle but anything similar would be fine. Brushless, 3s lipo rated 4wd Beetle style shell 2.4ghz Truggy or monster truck size/style If anyone has anything like this for sale, please let me know.
  3. Hey fella, Yea I don't come out in the winter, I hibernate and stay warm, summers coming so I'll have a few days out to play this year I'm currently on the market for a 1/8th or 1/5th scale electric for racing around the park outside as the nitro is just not welcome out there Not been out much but popped over to see stef and Caroline a couple of times and tailed you a few times in traffic too, but it's just been too cold for me to go out side with other humans I'm defo up for a bash though, so keep me posted and if you are heading down left me know and If I'm not working I'll be there
  4. It's quiet.... Too quiet! Another Robert to add to the confusion What was ll that confusion re: the selling of STs and whatnot, what the hell is CSOR and who has my od ST now lol ??? So have we been banned from Bathgate? Anyone have an electric 1/8th or similar up for sale? Stef are you lowed out to play now you arr married the wedding reception was great by the way, Caroline looked amazing in her dress, as did you Poor Grace was dead the next day lol Are we gonna get a bash on soon? What happened to Rustys track in musseburgh, did that never get completed? So many questions...
  5. Stef that's some list of quallys Unfortunately I don't know any sparkys but kudos for doing all that off your own back. I don't suspect you'll have any trouble finding someone to take you on, you're probably one of the most talented blokes I know
  6. We're not gonna make it this weekend either If its warm, I might jut have to sneek out though
  7. Hey Paul, That's not a bad idea. But where best to get such a solution...
  8. Yea, too cold for us too! The F1 was fantastic today though
  9. Interesting, making a mould may not be so easy though, I suppose I could juts dip it in a bowl of it until it drys, and then cut/trim around it I'm gonna pop into the bike shop this week and gt some handlebar tape to cover it when it's finished. It's about 90% there though so well chuffed, just a few little screw alignment issues and some feet and that's it done
  10. I've been looking for a business that would make custom made rubber feet/caps does anyone know of a good rubber fabricator type thing in In the area that would take such a small job?
  11. What abut this magic rubber dip ni
  12. Stef get off line and enjoy yer dinner Stef was a legend today! Built me a stand for my bucket seat, today I'll get some pics posted when it's all finished so you can see how it looks, but so far it's looking real good.. Once painted/covered and with feet it will be fantastic! So, We have 1 slight speed bump to over come and it's "feet" for the metal..??? Now after much discussion and more horrendous ideas by me, stef mention some sort of liquid rubber type stuff that ni
  13. Ill hve you know that i am a gold member... thank you very much However as I'm building my new sim rig, I have canceled my subscription until my new wheel, pedals, cockpit etc all arrive Should all be complete within the next 2 weeks
  14. I can't... It's to embarrassing... I'll add you now, so expect a strange name popping up on your screen However, you must sign an NDA stating that you will never utter my XBL UID in public. Promise =D
  15. Yea, I know what you mean... WRC3 is probably the best for that (along with the dirt series) on the 360... WRC3 is both graphically and technically a real achievement for the developers as it looks, sounds and drives fantastic. Not as much fun as dirt, more serious and sim like. Give that a try as it follows the actual WRC Rally season and looks incredible (for a 360). Horizon looks good for pure fun and blasting around like maniacs on the streets, so I'm gonna assume that stef will love that
  16. Well... You can grab a copy of forza 4 for about
  17. Added you both (excuse the ridiculous name, it's a Ricky Gervais / Karl Pilkington gag) Right, as soon as I get my wheel we need to get a Sunday league going for the winter! Here is my suggestion: Every winter Sunday (or mid week) night. 1 Rally Track (Dirt 3) 1 GT Track (Forza 4) 1 F1 Track (F1 2012) 1 Point to Point (Forza Horizon) Should be immense fun and keep it fresh with all those different styles of racing
  18. Any solution you have will eclipse mine, I can assure you I would literally staple sawn off table legs to it if I thought it would work
  19. I can't draw Ill knock up a psd or something, it's so simple but describing sounds insane. Even reading back what I wrote, does sound like the rambelings of a mad man... It's the kind of stuff you'd find written in sh|t under the floor boards of Serial killers house
  20. Hey, Here is a pic of a guys seat on a stand... His seat is a bit different from mine... His is rally style http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/853/runners.jpg/ Basically I need the seat to be apx 6" to 8" off the floor, solid, bolted in position so there is no lateral movement. The chair only has a select area on its bottom where it can be attached due to the rest being fabric. There is a metal plate on the bottom but it's only small. This is why I think a H design might work, so it sits on a plate and has skis out the sides. Similar to the pic above. This guy then went on to build a wooden frame for his, as he needed to be higher, I don't really need to be higher, so 6" to 8" off the floor would be fine. I also had another idea. What if we just make a detachable bracket? Something that would connect to one of the legs of the base (standard metal 5 leg office chair base) up onto the bottom of the chair (there are holes and rivets it could pop into) then the chair would be a usable chair and when needed for gaming, attached a long rod (think like a piece of golf club type metal) to the base and onto the bottom of the chair at this angle / therefore "locking" the chair in place... It would become more solid and "sounds" simple enough... But I though bending pipes was something Peple did with their necks so what do I know In those pics I sent you, you will see the base is a 5 legged base, and the bottom of the chair has that metal part etc.. What if we just build the chair as normal, as it's supposed to be but add a detachable "leg" that mounts to one (or more) of the legs of the base, up into that base plate on the chair.. We could weld a custom rivet for it to slot into? Now that should like a picece of **** to me! that way we can irradicate the up/down/left/right motion by simply adding in 1 rod that connects the base to the chair with a solid metal pole? Is that possible? I could find a golf club somewhere nd we can cut it, weld a rivet in the leg, and 1 in the bottom of the chair and then .. bam... Pop it in he hole... Job done.. Chair no move no more? Whadda think
  21. Yea' I'm work out what I need height etc and sizes and costings etc and get it over to you. I'm thinking it only needs to be apx 6" to 10" off the floor and I think we'd only need apx 2 metes of metal max as its not a massive. I think something like a H design would work too maybe? I'm pricing up a pre made base (for a normal table/chair) that we could just weld to it ... Currently searching now. I'll keep you posted
  22. That totally helps What about cost? Roughly for the thickest pipe what would that be per meter or whatever I've contacted a ship yard today who said they would have a look and see if they would be able to bend some pipes, then all I'd need is it painting and welding to the base... It might work but maybe a proper custom build is the way got to stef I'd obviously pay you for your time etc too, I'll pop into this ship yard today and then post back ... I'm sick of carrying this chair around lol I thought my days off were gonna be fun, not carrying car seats in the rain for 2 days
  23. Hey guys, Yea I'll check into both of these options... I'm so perplexed as I have no idea how to get this done but it seems so simple? Does anyone have the number of that guy on record breakers who bends pipe with his neck? He could knock one up in seconds How hard would what you are suggesting be Stef? How long would it take? Can we buy stuff off the shelf etc?
  24. Hmmm... Does anyone know of a business that will make a custom stand from metal? I'm trying to find solutions to this welding problem i have, and thought about a custom stand instead.. If I need 2 bent bits of metal tubing, where on earth would I go to get such a thing made? Basically I need 2 bent aluminium metal pipes in the shape of an "n" with screw holes in top That negates my need for welding, but throws up problems of its own... Who does custom metal bending? Here is a crude image of what I need \_ = chair ... n = stand \_ n Anyone?
