Hi All
After some advice, using standard gearing on my erevo 18/54 and I just set it up for its first run after a complete rebuild.
Mesh looked fine etc but after a run of about a minute I completely destroyed the spur gear.
The ring of the gear had actually snapped away from the centre thats held in with the 3 screws, mangled plastic everywhere.and plastic melted onto the screws.
I made sure the slipper was set correctly and the mesh looked ok, I have set the mesh up many times before.
any ideas? I have bought a replacement slipper clutch, spur gear and also the rest of the assembly, just don't want to make the same mistake again. It can't have been the mesh incorrect as it would have destroyed the teeth, they were fine. Its just the actual spur had snapped and mangled?!?
Thanks
Minty
