  1. I learnt on a micro As3x spitfire from parkzone. Sure its not the best choice but i also had a flight simulator to help I still love flying it now its so small and agile you can fly round a single football pitch and because of the as3x it handles the wind rather well when you move to a larger plane you just have to remeber to make everything 3x larger. for example Height of the plane How much space to turn and how long to land http://www.rcpitstop.co.uk/parkzone-ultra-micro-spitfire-mk-ix-bnf-pkzu2180-2692-p.asp I have herd the T-28 trojan is a lot easier to fly then any spitfire (being one of the hardest warbirds) There is also a micro supercub too at RTF price of
  2. I love my Naza Lite with GPS. It does cost a lot more then the kk2 at
  3. If your using the DX6i with the naza you should look into setting it up it takes quiet a bit of effort and remembering the switch combos to get the return to home to work http://www.kingslynnmodelshop.co.uk/Radio-Spektrum-Flight_Receivers/c29_187_315/p2303/Spektrum_AR6210_DSMX_Receiver/product_info.html receiver you want to use as the satellite helps with the added range
  4. Wouldn't go for anything large due to repair costs will be a lot higher if you started off with something like http://www.kingslynnmodelshop.co.uk/Helicopters_and_Spares-Beginner_Helicopters-E-Flite_Blade_CX4/c33_354_168/p6996/Blade_CX4_RTF_UK_Mode_2_-_Instock/product_info.html It pretty much bounces off walls so very little repair costs I have a Blade MSRx for a year now and i haven't broke anything on it yet.
  5. http://www.intuitiveaerial.com/product/aerigon-ia3-kit/ On the list
  6. Not sure about the nano but the others work I use a first gen with my H107D and fatshark goggles for the video
  7. www..quadcopters.co.uk www.flybys.co.uk Gets my vote
  8. is your throttle trim to the minimum on the dx6i?
  9. That's only for the video range for radio range of the quad you would need something like Dragonlink or Ezuhf which would change the radio frequency to 453mhz (for UK) which has been proven to be able to go 20km
  10. The range of the 2.4ghz shouldn't be effected because of the video being 5.8ghz but the range of the video will be poor due to it being close to the ground. Will be a lot better with the quad in the air. also what MW is your transmitter? if its 25mw it will be really poor and you would want to look into upgrading to http://www.firstpersonview.co.uk/transmitters/5.8ghz/immersionrc-600mw with that one and my antennas i should be able to get 6km of range
  11. Using the Fatshark Predator V2 full setup with the 250MW transmitter on my quad i can go around 4-6 football pitches away. But i have recently upgraded the antennas to http://www.efpv.co.uk/#!product/prd2/1733368395/5.8-ghz-pinwheel-set-%28spw%29 which vastly helped over the stock ones
  12. check http://www.flybys.co.uk/main/?page_id=391 They all come built and test flown by simon http://www.flybys.co.uk/main/?page_id=393 for F550 Or if your comfortable soldering and setting it up http://www.quadcopters.co.uk/dji-f550-artf-inc-naza-lite--gps-and-landing-skid-1109-p.asp
  13. Dx6i requires quiet a lot of tuning with the naza due to not having a 3 way switch I currently have a TBS Discovery (f450) with a different frame, Futaba t8J and Fatshark predator V2 with 4 lipos for flying whole setup cost me around
  14. I usually get asked for a go with my Baja. Latest one was a kid with a moped laughing at it saying how slow? So we had a race me across grass and him on tarmac. So he got destroyed then started laughing at how at least he could "get around easier" i then pointed at th my BMW and smiled He didn't look to impressed lol Nobody even comes up to me when i'm FPVing with my disco i just always see people with there phones out recording it haha
  15. http://www.efpv.co.uk/#!product/prd2/1733368395/5.8-ghz-pinwheel-set-%28spw%29 I have a pair and there amazing. If you have a diversity (two anntena) you want to add http://www.efpv.co.uk/#!product/prd2/1733330375/5.8-ghz-8.25-turns-helical too it as well but there a longer range but you have to be more pointed at the quad EFPV.co.uk is owned by one of the guys on my facebook called rory its a really nice helpful guy so you could always ring him and have a chat
  16. Should be decent. Fly aways only happen with a poorly setup machine. Fine calibration in the PC software
  17. http://www.efpv.co.uk/#!product/prd2/1297843161/ezuhf-long-range-rc-tx http://www.efpv.co.uk/#!product/prd2/1295743741/ezuhf-8-channel-diversity-receiver It adds onto your existing radio http://team-blacksheep.com/products/prod:ezuhf_jr_tx module that pugs stright into the tanaris
  18. Currently using it on my TBS Discovery with Naza lite and Fatshark FPV Gear. Only been about 6-8 football pitch lengths as i'm waiting to get a OSD. Will be upgrading it with Ezuhf for longer flights and more penetration as its on 459mhz and lawmate 2.4ghz video
  19. Guys on the facebook page might be able to help. Most of them have/tried a phantom and a lot know the Naza like the back of there hand also quiet a few of the guys running quad copter websites are on there https://www.facebook.com/groups/fpvuk/
  20. Found this on a forum "With new 3.12 firmware, DJI had modified prerequisites for AUTHORIZE phantom arm motors - fly. If not enough sattelites in GPS or not enough warm time or not 20 green led sequence reached, your motors won't start. In addition, after get GREEN or GREEN.GREEN or YELLOW or YELLOW.GREEN sequence you must throtle 50% or higher for "semi automatic" take off." Maybe a faulty GPS? i only have a naza lite on my Disco so no firmware updates
  21. I have a DX6i and it feels a bit cheap and limited. Where as the DX8 feels a lot nicer and more model memory few other nice things about it But over all i love my Futaba T8J and yeh S-bus is wicked But also if you really want to splash cash. I would go for a Align or a SAB Goblin but they require building and setting up Used to love the feel of my Trex 500 but helicopters and me just didn't work together Fast-lad sell a Trex450 Sport V2 RTF with Dx6i. Completely built and flight tested for
  22. http://www.kingslynnmodelshop.co.uk/Helicopters_and_Spares-E-Flite_Blade_Advanced_Helicopters-E-Flite_Blade_300X/c33_352_466/p4486/E-Flite_Blade_300X_BNF_Helicopter/product_info.html And a nice DX8 or personally i would drop the RX included and get a Futaba T8J
