  6. If anyone it interested, this is now for sale, complete with everything bar the shell. There is a sale thread in the for sale area! sad to be leaving the Drift scene, but it has sat unused now for a year apart from 3 outings, and would much rather someone got some use out of it!!

  10. So I have had a couple of updates! Since fitting the spool diff in the back, I have had nothing but issues the whole time! I stripped spur gears, diff gears, I the fitted metal diff gears and machines spurs then it snapped drive shafts but it didn't half drive well when it did drive! So I have now changed it to a aluminium ball diff, still with metal gears! The car ran a whole battery with no issues! It drives pretty well, not as good at flat our driving as you end up with a wheel ballooning still, but tight turns are much better, and touch wood, no broken parts! So fingers crossed!
  11. found a good tarmac carpark right opposite my work. fresh tarmac in summer, dead smooth but on a slight hill which makes things a little more interesting! try and get an evening organised over there or a weekend play!
  12. Also in the future I may end up with new dogbones, hubs and drive cups, see how they hold up to the stress of spool diff and more power!!!
  13. Bot a huge amount now! Rear arms, hubs and dogbones, rear shock upright, front arms, shock upright, hubs, steering rack, servo mount! That's about it!
  14. New gears are here and fitted So now the bumpers can go back on and it's pretty mich there! Ita pretty quick, even on low acceleration it is rapid! Can't wait to start ramping the speed up juat need to build the top deck and get a battery strap for my mount
  15. Cheers im trying to make it as good as possible, I quite like the sct look, especially when it's bouncing around across a Beach or something
  16. Put all the numbers into one of those calculators aswell and it came out with a theoretical top speed of 97mph with original gearing! What ive ordered should leave it at about 40 which seems much more manageable!
  17. So done plenty of maths tonight worked out my gear ratios, final drove ratios, and roll out for my wheels! Turns out the current ratio was about 1:6, 6 turns of the wheels to one turn of the pinion! After lots of reading I've ordered the gears to get it down to 1:1.5 or so, so should be much better all round just another few days of waiting for parts before I can finish it
  18. It's really getting there now mst rear gearbox, spool diff, gears and motor mount, modified to take the arms and suspension in one piece And all getting mounted in modified an old Losi 8ight receiver box to house my receiver, should be a bit more water and sand proof Just need to change the gearing a bit as it is clogging and struggling to get moving, but I have a huge range of options now for gearing so hopefully I can get it just right
  19. So that's the chassis fully cut out and drilled, and now the protective film is off and put the bends in the chassis And bits getting mounted back on
  20. New chassis is all cut out and stuff is starting to get mounted on, all my parts have arrived apart from bearings which should be here tomorrow then I can get it put together properly! Going to be a bit of a beast I think now being able to handle full power from the motor
  21. Started on the new chassis out of some 4mm plate aluminium
  22. right then, got the new bit of aluminium coming for the chassis and top deck, put the order in with Soul RC in northampton for all the bits they have in stock, and then the rest is coming from Taiwan, hopfully should have the chassis cut and drilled this weekend, and start getting the some of it mounted next week, then pick up from soul and stuff from Taiwan from next week Cant wait to turn the power up on the ESC now it should take it
