  1. I've had two SC shells on mine, here it is with a Blitz shell: And here it is with a Slash shell:
  2. Good stuff, was absolutely gutted to see her go but she's gone to a good home
  3. It's a great upgrade, makes the bulkheads pretty much bomb proof. Here's some pics of mine:
  4. To echo what Nitroholic said, for me racing is just too structured and committed. I don't want to commit myself to spending an entire day at a certain track, only using my cars at certain periods during that day etc.. I just want to turn up at a bash in my own time, thrash my cars about, then go home when I'm done. I can totally see how people can get into racing and enjoy it more than bashing, but it's just not for me.
  5. I'm not sure about that TBH mate.
  6. Loving those wheels, they really suit the 'scale monster truck' looks of the Madforce
  7. The HPI alloy big bores are nice shocks, but IMO if you're paying that much you might as well pay that bit more and go for the IRC shocks, unless the extra weight bothers you.
  8. It's not bad but the LRP is better.
  9. I'm a father too, and I don't want my Kids growing up in the kind of country that would happily chop people's hands off for stealing an apple. These threads all go one way, the 'off with their heads' brigade call anyone who is level headed enough to realise that it's a ridiculous notion a 'bleeding heart liberal' I'm far from that, and like I said lenient punishments are handed out all too often to sub-human scum like this, but the punishment should fit the crime. Chopping somebody's hands off for stealing is not the answer, in the same way that public executions and hanging bodies in the street isn't the answer. Is THAT the idea of the kind of country you want your kids to grow up in? Because it certainly isn't mine.
  10. The basic point that the 'chop their hands off' brigade seem to missing is this: IT DOESN'T WORK. It's not a deterrent, people still steal in those countries. So it's all very well saying 'well if it works then I'm all for it', bit that's completely missing the point. It doesn't work. At all. Look at the death penalty in America, it hasn't exactly stopped murders in the US has it? Of course people should be punished for their crimes, and yes a lot of punishments handed out are far too lenient but please stop quoting the likes of Saudi Arabia like it's a good example, we're supposed to live in a civilized country. "An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind..."
  11. I can't take the credit, we bought it with the cage already fitted from Bodgemonkey on here. I believe the Turnigy desert buggy is a clone of the Kyosho, so you may be able to get the cage from Hobbyking?
  12. Absolutely disgusting. Let's the scummy sub-human ****s get caught and the lad gets it back, but I don't think that will happen
  13. As above, it's not on hold at the moment so drop me a line if you want mate I've changed my number since you last had it, I sent a mass text out but I'm not sure of everybody got it. PM me if you need it again buddy
  14. Here we have for sale my Son's HPI Blitz. He has decided to sell it because he just doesn't use it as much as his 4wd SC truck, and wants some money in his pocket. I've tried to talk him out of it, but he's adamant lol. It's a Blitz that has been given the 'desert buggy' look by fitting a Kyosho Ultima DB cage to the Blitz undertray. The result looks good and always gets compliments at bashes. We have converted it to mod-1 gears, and it's running a steel spur gear, so you never have to worry about stripping a spur gear. Electrics wise it's running a Hobbywing 100amp ESC with a 9t EZRUN brushless motor, and it's very quick on 2s. We have also upgraded it to alloy shocks all round, and it is running a 10kg metal geared servo. It has the bumps and scrapes you would expect from a well used basher, but it's great fun and a very tough basher, it rarely breaks. I can also include the stock shell, but in all honesty there isn't much of it left. It comes ARTR, you just need to add a battery and TX/RX. We're looking for

  16. With a heavy heart I have decided to put my much loved Honcho up for sale, as I need some cash to put towards my other hobby. It was bought as a brand new Honcho Kit, one of the last before it was discontinued. Being the kit version it has several upgrades over the RTR, including alloy links all round, and metal diff lockers. I have also installed a 3-racing winch which works off the third channel. It is running a waterproof ESC, and the receiver and which controller are inside a balloon within the receiver case, and a 16kg metal geared servo. Although the servo isn't sold as waterproof I have had it completely submerged many times and never had any problems with it. It's running a 50x2t Ansmann Roxx motor with a 20t pinion which gives a great balance between torque and wheel speed. It has the stock beadlock wheels and tyres, but they have been weighted with more weight up front. It's fully RTR including a 3 channel 2.4ghz radio, all you will need is a battery (It's currently wired with a dean's connector). The only real downside is the switch is broken on the ESC so I have bypassed it and it powers up as soon as you plug the battery in. It also has a few scrapes/rock rash as you would expect, but over all is in great condition. Here are some pics for now, I'll take some more later including the radio gear and with the shell removed: I'm looking for
