  1. For sell is my Maverick Strada XB Evo, which has seen very little use (ran three, maybe four times). It was bought brushed, then upgraded to an EZrun with the intention of me joining a club, but unfortunately there is nowhere near Bristol, so has sat gathering dust in my workshop whilst I play with my 1/18th buggy and TT01 drifter. All boxed, with instructions and receipts (at least 6 months left on it). Package includes: Car, controller, all electrics as newStandard brushed motor replaced with EZrun brushless, 60A ESC and a programming card5000mah hardcase Zippy lipo (balanced charged for storage)Couple of spursSome spares: dog bones and steering holder. Selling for £165 including UK postage, payment by PayPal. Alternatively pick up from Bristol for £150 cash. DM me or call on 07708959629 for more details. Click for larger images.
  2. I've heard the ESC has a LiPo cutoff. Is that right? I'm running a Ezrun brushless system in mine now.
  3. If you swap the leads on the motor round then you're reversing the current running through the coils in the motor, thus forward from the ESC applies a forward motion to the motor and through the drive chain. I've done this on several of my cars already using this ESC. If you switch the throttle on the transmitter to reverse then you're applying reverse from the ESC to a forward action in the car, which causes less power and the brake to work incorrectly. The only issue I can see, and I could be wrong, is that the airflow through the motor the majority of the time is reverse what it is designed to do. This ESC is now in my TT01 drifter as I've upgrade the Strada XB Evo to brushless. I don't believe I can flip the diff in that car.
  4. Same experience, then. Think it's safe to assume it's shut.
  5. Any sign of that dog bone?
  6. Sounds like more work than swapping the leads between the ESC and motor over...
  7. Was down at the BMX track yesterday and smashed the wheel of Maverick Strada XB Evo in to the shelter down there. Didn't realise I'd lost the dog bone. If anyone is going down would you have a quick look to see if you can see it? It was on the far left post as you look at it. Would save me a few quid...
  8. Got my first Tamiya yesterday. Plastic and horrible for the money. Much better for cheaper. For an all purpose run around I'd highly recommend the XTM Rage. It was my first RC and the one I still most enjoy driving.
  9. Thanks for the answer, David. I have just got myself a TT01 yesterday, plus I already have a 1/18 XTM Rage, so that opens options. Will look in to Caldicot. Been looking in to the Swindow club, but the form email on their site seems to be down. Anyone know anything of them?
  10. Nearly two hours away and now closed, apparently
  11. Noticed a bit of a dint in the case, so will keep and eye on that.
