  1. Who's doing the esc? Im tempted for one or the other .....
  2. I'd be happy with 2s to be honest I also reckon the quicrun esc without the fan would fit under the body with no mods either
  3. Exact same size, maybe worth a punt for
  4. anybody tried one of these.... 311245978440 (eBay item)??
  5. On 2s stock esc temps are fine for me, esc is warm at best may give 3s a go just for some silly speed runs
  6. Does the stock esc handle 3s lipo OK? Or is a fan needed?
  7. Pretty much an identical fit....??? http://www.servoshop.co.uk/index.php?pid=HITHS5245D
  8. Thanks for pictures and ideas for set ups, with a little imagination there is certainly some room to be had or made Think I may have found a HiTec servo which pretty much matches the dimensions of the stock servo, width the same (when placed flat), 1mm deeper and 1.2 mm higher (all when flat)
  9. Still waiting for pics and link @ deafty Has anybody ran a 3s lipo on stock esc? What were the results?
  10. This may also work out well..... http://www.hobbywing.com/product_show.asp?id=250 45a and with the half cup connections wires could be soldered very low profile
  11. Links and pics would be great - thanks
  12. Fair enough, what's the reserve option?
  13. Ah you've not fitted it yet then? Are you running shorter Lipo packs and chassis mounting?
  14. Is that a sidewinder v3? Be intrigued to see where that sits...
  15. This esc looks to have a small footprint and is only 21mm high as well.... http://www.modelsport.co.uk/orion-r10-one-bls-sensorless-controller-45a-2s/rc-car-products/388523 Also rated at 45a, but 'restricted' to 2s.
  16. Thanks all, emailed a place which sell them and they're 3.5mm for this particular pack
  17. Just a quick one, am I right in thinking these take 4mm bullets.... http://www.rcmodelcentre.co.uk/intellect-2s-1800mah-30c-car-lipo/prod_6151.html Thanks
  18. Assume you've looked at phat bodies?
  19. Yeah I know, impatience got the better of me for something else - which hasn't worked out You live and learn I guess
  20. OK I'm back My change of heart /direction may not turn out as planned and I still have lipo packs, charger and spares for the buggy So, contemplating the kit version - yes I know massive u-turn, am on with the electrics but wondered if this esc would be suitable.... http://www.modelsport.co.uk/hobbywing-quicrun-wp-16bl30-bl-esc/rc-car-products/382830 Looks like it would fit the bill, it's 30amp and nice low profile I also have on-road wheels and shims (amongst other bits), where would I place the shims to get a better fit when fitting the on road wheels - have read people add shims or washers but not clear where exactly Thanks
