  1. I put a mamba max & 2200kv motor in my summit.  It does go through CVDs a bit quick, but is otherwise great ?. The shell takes a beating better than any other that I've owned. No need to take the lockers out. Just use em for getting up & over the rough stuff .

  2. If you go Lipo, buy them from hobbyking. Not sure on a 150 quid kit, but someone'll chip in soon.  Xvpilots the tamiya God on here.  If you don't mind used, there's the used section on here. Most folks on here look after their trucks, to the point of obsession ?. So when they're sold on they've been properly serviced.  The ftx viper ain't a kit, but it's pretty capable & 125 for the brushed one. & when little un gets the hang of it, it's about 40 quid for a brushless combo

  3. Hi. Tamiya are a bit dated now. Suspension & chassis design has moved on. What're you planning on doing with It?   Jumping & general bashing about? On gravel/loose dirt? Car parks?  Also what sort of budget? & finally ? how olds the little un? Our 6 year old has a hobbyking mini monster truck that tops out at about 30mph. He can sort of control it in a wide open space, but keeps hitting things when there are things to hit?.

The irony of that sticker to the right.....

At least it wasnt a snapped shaft!

I've got a brushless summit.  (Same chassis). I got a slipper with aluminium pads. I've broken drive shafts but not any transmission.  It's worth a try. Cheap too ?

I feel your pain, it's dead flat around here! Luckily, they built this little gem around 6 months ago, about 25mins away! :D

I've got some 1400ft high hills nearby. Good place to play with the ftx outlaw.  I end up more trailing than crawling looking for new places to play with it ?

Had a good day today. Swapped the D812's new shell for it's old battered one and hammered it around Herts track then took the Wraith out on their crawler course :good:

Track running was ended by a knackered motor in the D812, so new one ordered :)

I'd love to have a play area like that!!  There's nothing like that even remotely local to me ?.
