  1. Oh those fees, can you not send as gift?
  2. yep tested the shock off the car and its fine. Also the replacement shaft is correct for sure as I used the part number to order them. Im confused as they seem fine off the car but when they are on they dont rebound properly, the thing is i don't remember what it was like before but surely this isnt right..
  3. 100% sure i filled the shocks, I even took them off again and double checked and they are filled to the top..
  4. Here is a vid so you get a better idea.
  5. I crashed my Hyper 7 a few weeks back and bent the right suspension shaft, anyway I replaced it with a new one and put the shock back together. I refilled both front shocks using Factory Team Shock Fluid (35WT, 425CST). http://www.modelsport.co.uk/associated-shock-oil-35-wt/rc-car-products/26987 Now my issue is when I push the front of my RC car down it doesn't come back up, it just stays down. But when the car is off the ground and i lift any of the wheels up they spring back to place. Does anyone know what the problem is? Have I used the wrong shock fluid? Thanks.
  6. Does anyone know what type of shock oil the Hyper 7 Black edition uses?
  7. What temp should a nitro RC car be running at? I took mine out yesterday and it went up to 140 deg C. I thought the maximum running temp should be between 90-105?
  8. Am i? I don't really no to be honest..
  9. Turbdigger can you do me a favour and let me know the size of the front springs and damper? Do you think these will be ok? - http://www.freeprawnracing.co.uk/petrol-spares-hopups/fg-modellsport-spares-hopups/fg-marder-off-road-buggy-parts/index4.html thanks
  10. The problem is the buggy is missing both of the front shocks so I would know what to measure unless i measure the rear ones but they are different surely.. tubedigger r u saying it would be better to try and keep it original as I was planning on fixing and using it..
  11. Thanks guys, i went thru the parts on ebay and vintage-kyosho.com but cant find the suspension.. I guess they don't make them for these anymore... Anybody know a suspension from another Petrol RC that would fit?
  12. Found this laying around and wondering what model it is? The front is missing the suspension, and its also going to needs tyres.. Any ideas where i can source them?
  13. I had a similar problem mate.. what I did was took out the glow plug, put a drop or two of after run oil in, then I unstuck the piston with a screwdriver and left it for a while at BDC, heated it up a bit and then put it on my starterbox without the glow plug in and let it turn the flywheel for a while, it didnt make a massive difference but definately didnt need to use a screwdriver anymore...
  14. You should have got a leaflet with your Hyper 7 that tell you exactly how to do it mate..
  15. It is new, its on its second tank of fuel.
  16. Just found out its the receiver... a friend of mine has the same car so I tried his receiver on my car, binded it with my controller and it worked fine, so my transmitter is gone.. Is it worth getting another HoBao one or is there something better to go for?
  17. I tried changing the batteries and still no luck.. I have taken the aerial and receiver out of the electrics box, sometimes it works, when its in it doesn't work at all. Also I've noticed that the signal is not very strong as the green light is meant to be ON when both transmitter and receiver are turned on, but sometimes it stays on, then it flashes, then it stays on, like there is some sort of interference.. Also sometimes it works for a bit, other times it doesn't work at all..
  18. I took my Hyper 7 out today to run it in and when I went to start the 2nd tank I realised the car was not responding to the remote. I took the receiver out and managed to bind them, it worked fine but as soon as I put everything back together the same thing happens.. I repeated the process at least 10 times, works outside the box for a bit, when I put it back together it stops. Can it be a bad receiver or the batteries, I use normal batteries as opposed to rechargable ones: can that be the problem?
