  1. Hi Mate, sorry for the delayed reply, I haven't had my car out for ages but would like to again when the evenings get lighter.
  2. Hi Guys, I'm struggling to find tyres to fit my St Pro, I have the stock wheels and tyres at the moment but the tyres don't last long. What size do I need and what would you recommend? Badlands?
  3. Graxon I've been here load of times but only with a couple of ppl, It's rubbish after it's been raining and stays boggy for weeks. It's very narrow with not much open ground. Its ok but not great. Only works if there's a couple of you and wouldn't be good for a large bash meet. Half the time you can't see your car as there isn't many vantage points. Try it and see what you think.
  4. Might be in the wrong section pal, try North west bashers
  5. I went to the business park the other week with a few mates, is that the one near the indoor footy place? If it is the only problem there was cars and kerbs. Jet2 is open all the time so the business park is never properly deserted. Try the otley spot mate its open enough so you don't hit anything.
  6. You need to read the original post mate then you might understand what advice I was after. And yes I don't own it, more rebuilding it for a complete novice who wants to resurrect his childhood RC car.
  7. It doesn't really answer the questions pal, just links to products. Forget lipo, I want a Nimh battery (either 7.2v or 8.4v) with a simple plug in charger. Just need to know what the difference is between the two voltages, and don't say 1.2v lol
  8. Question I need answering is I'm looking to get a new 8.4v, 7cell battery pack and charger however the Tamiya ESC's (loads on ebay) all say 6 cell and a max of 7.2v? Does that mean the 8.4v 7 cell packs won't work with these? http://www.modelspor...products/369337 (Example of one that says 6.6-7.2v)
  9. It's worth more to him sentimentally so he wants to try get it going. Obviously will keep all the parts to sell at a later date if he chooses.
  10. I can see them listed on ebay for this but I have yet to see the demand at this level. Bit optimistic
  11. They are selling for peanuts mate, I think the chap wants to get it running as he used it when he was a kid. I will keep all the original parts. It's just I think the sevro speed controller is past its sell by date. It was tripping out the power supply I was using to test it. If I can get it up and running again for circa
  12. Hi All, Just after some advice really. I have been asked by a friend to see if I can get an old Tamiya Bigwig going again. It's from 1986 but in mint condition. The car itself is in perfect nick it's just the electrics that need updating. The motor runs as ive tested it but I don't know what battery to get as the original is an 8.4V 7 cell nicad. I want to get a new battery, and ideally an electronic speed controller as the old servo controlled one is a bit rough looking. Any ideas on a cheap battery and speed controller that will work with the original motor. I will upgrade to the white connectors from the ancient blue style. This is a link to a new original battery but modern batteries are much more powerful etc http://www.ebay.co.u...=item2a2769acf0 Cheers
