May of over charged it slightly, I done this before and was redhot. Used it when it cooled down and was fine and still have it now. They do get quite hot when charging. Next time you use it run it right down then do a full charge.

Just another quick question. Would 50-60C rate lipos be ok for this truck or should I order some higher C rated lipos?

Yeh iv had to do this with a few cars I own now because I always run overkill servos on my RCs just for piece of mind. Thanks for the help mate. Have you upgraded the hubs or anything yet?

Cool, ill stick with my cheapo turnigys for the time being as I'm pretty happy with them considering how cheap they are and have a few already. Yeh ill buy another shell within a month and proberly reinforce it on the inside to stop it splitting

Really? I have a blitz flux and that's a nightmare when in the air, had to cut the shell about to stop it flying like a kite lol suppose its a lot heavier and more balanced. Got a couple of 1256 savox servos so ill stick one of them in it and see how it handles, just need to order a few more lipos from hobbyking, hopefully they won't take too long to send them out

Got to wait till payday for mine, luckily its only 3days away. Can't wait. Been a few years since I had a baja, used to running 1/8 and 1/10 so will take abit of practice getting used to this scale

Would of thought they would of picked a bigger esc for the job really, but you can see why with the price of the xl castle esc. You get two years warranty though don't you? Can't see that hpi having a problem replacing the ESC when/if it goes bang. What's the biggest lipos you can fit in these? Got some turnigy 5000 3s lipos to go in but if it allows bigger I will go with the bigger lipos

Thanks for the link, great read. Defo fancy one now Cool, yeh at 30+mph on a 1/5 scale is going to be enough. I suppose you can always upgrade the motor and esc if the diffs will handle it. Understand there 1/8 scale diffs? Prefer torque to top end speed anyway as the field I use is not huge

Hi, looking to get myself another basher next week and quite like the look of this hpi super 5sc flux. Anyone had one? Can't find many reviews on it so looking for some help if anyone's owned one. I know the stock servo etc is rubbish but that's the first thing I upgrade on my RCs anyway, but is there any other weak points and do they make good bashers? This or a savage flux hp? Same price range and I will be using it for the same thing, just bashing. Not sure if ill get tired with the savage when it keeps rolling over and being a shortcourse this should handle pretty well right? Thanks

Hi, my mate has a ishima rave and needs a few parts to repair it. Went on century uk and tried ordering the parts but they discontinued them by the looks of it. Anyone know where else to look for parts? Tried eBay with no luck. If not, are rear arms on 1/8 buggys pretty much the same? I don't mind if I have to modify them to fit Thanks

That's not a problem for me as I use my work van, no way I'm getting mud in the back of my VXR lol Ill take a look at the FG, are parts as easy to get hold of for these as the baja?

Thanks yeh iv had a break from the hobby for a while but went out the weekend and I took out my trophy buggy to run in and my truggy flux. Had such a great time with them it's renewed my obsession for the hobby lol also have a hpi blitz flux edition so I have plenty of battery powered trucks, fancy getting back into the 1/5 scale. Thanks for your help guys, I have seen so many vids of the losi with motor upgrades and to be honest I do like a challenge when I go out bashing and there's nothing better than power sliding on the gravel looks like ill be going with another 5b Thanks for your help

Hi, not been on the forum for a while. Looking to get back into 1/5 scale but not sure what to go for. Had a baja 5b before. Seen the new maverick truggy coming out soon, I know there a sister company of hpi but are they any good? Can they handle some abuse like the 5b? Or should I save up a little longer and go for a losi 5ive-t?
