  1. Yes that's right Danny very simple.... if you follows wills thread and I'm presuming we're talking about the same, you don't really need to take the top off, just undo 2 screws on battery box below and 2 from handle grip will give you enough excess to take battery compartment out and then you can just cut off the wires.
  2. domcharlton I didn't realise Hobbyking did hack ones... cool I'm going to buy the STM8S Discovery board soon so will be hacking mine too soon
  3. Hi Danny any Lipo with the correct size will do. If you want the same as mine I bought mine from ebay was the best one I could find with the highest mah with the size dimensions I wanted to make it fit. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RC-Li-Po-Battery-2200mAh-11-1v-Futaba-Radio-Control-Transmitter-C222-/200721813746?_trksid=p4340.m185&_trkparms=algo%3DDLSL%252BSIC.NPJS%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUCI%252BUA%26otn%3D10%26pmod%3D250984025827%252B250984025827%26po%3D%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D6772910418285075142#ht_2595wt_1218 or http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RC-Li-Po-Battery-2200mAh-11-1v-Futaba-Radio-Control-Transmitter-P222-/320860550073?_trksid=p4340.m185&_trkparms=algo%3DDLSL%252BSIC.NPJS%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUCI%252BUA%26otn%3D10%26pmod%3D250984025827%252B250984025827%26po%3D%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D6772916903457036473#ht_2595wt_1218
  4. http://www.fast-lad.co.uk/store/accessory_jr/spektrum_white_battery_lead_whitetxlead-p-16255.html Found this one as well, London seller so you'll get it quicker but it's just the one, just make sure it's a Micro JST by giving him a call. You'll still need to get the JR lead as well and again just join up the leads
  5. OK this the best solution I can find, what you need to do is buy both items from link below http://www.ebay.co.u...5#ht_1931wt_985 http://www.ebay.co.u...e#ht_500wt_1156 The RC plug I think is called a Micro JST 2-pin, I will correct this in my video, unfortunately the Micro JST comes as a 10 set but is pretty cheap. What you do with the JR lead is just cut off the female JR and then just join the 2 wires together. This will work just as good, it's the best I can find for you. All the best and hope that helps
  6. Hi Baja Just realised don't buy that lead XH Male to JR Female Plug from ebay, it's a 3 pin you need a 2 pin. Let me have another look
  7. Hi Baja Ok I looked around for you and they do seem to be a bit rear strangely but I found a guy on ebay who sells it, link as follows http://www.ebay.co.u...4#ht_2017wt_985 The only problem is it doesn't look long enough so you may need to also buy, look at the other link below http://www.ebay.co.u...e#ht_500wt_1156 This will work just as good, also don't worry about the third wire on the lead it will just be obsolete. Good Luck
  8. Thought I add my next update which was disappointing at first but had a happy ending Ok got my new switch and what a disappointment, the switch is half the size of my original one.... aaarrrggghhhhhhhh!! Anyway so I started thinking what can I do to fix my switch with what I got, can I swap the DPDT bottom part, can I swap the top etc etc. What I did first I literally toke the new DPDT switch completely apart, toke me a minute or 2 to figure it out but they are actually really easy to disassemble. Basically to give you an idea the top part where its silver is one whole piece which holds the red square box with terminals sticking out at the bottom, Its holds together by just 4 hooks sticking inwards at the bottom bent at a right angle and thats it, all you do is straighten the hooks and pull the side plates apart and hey presto you've disassembled it. I did the same to my original faulty switch, when the 2 parts separated it separated the toggle inside and you can also see a metal plate of some sort going across which sits at the bottom inside the red box. I figured the plate probably engages the starter by touching the terminal inside below at the bottom, so i toke the plate out for a closer look. What I saw was from what I could tell the problem to my faulty switch, under the plate that I toke out it had gone all black, looks like when the 2 plates touched it must of sparked a bit leaving some smokey residue, I cleaned this with some contact cleaner and now I could see the terminal the plate touches to make it start. I gave it a test run by just dropping the plate that goes across and making them touch together by pushing them together with a screwdriver and it worked...... YAHOOO So I put it all back together now and it works fine From what I can see this could be a common issue with a lot of DPDT switches and if this is the problem it can be fixed. Thanks to everyone who gave me feedback and suggestions Added a picture of a DPDT, its a different one but will give an idea on how to disassemble http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/15008-20120302-221443/
  9. Hi J450n its a rocker going by its original part code DTXP6066. The link with the motor has a completely different switch which I don't even think will fit but I managed to find one on ebay, I'm pretty sure its the same but will know for sure when it gets here in a couple of days. Thanks for your efforts anyway. you can have a look at http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MULTICOMP-3MD1R1M1QE-SWITCH-DPDT-/250976753070?pt=UK_BOI_Electrical_Components_Supplies_ET&hash=item3a6f6155ae#ht_794wt_1156
  10. Had a look at this Ansmann version Razzel and a few pointers which you may have over looked. 1. From what I seen they aren't all Lipo ready I think the newer ones are but you can correct me on this, seen info on the net people converting them 2. It costs 3 times more than the Flysky GT3B 3. The look of it is nice in some ways and not nice in others but thats my opinion, I prefer the look of the GT3B and the blue lcd is nice not bad looking at all lastly FlySky GT3B has some amazing reviews plus the fact you can hack them and you just can't beat the price. Food for thought
  11. Yes Danny the battery is perfect in size so will fit no problem, just to be clear don't cut JR connector on the battery but rather change the connector on your transmitter as you will have to access the terminals for your transmitter anyway so makes sense to just cut the wires at the end of the RC wire and buy a JR female plug which you can pick up easy on ebay for a couple of quid. Just remember you may need to take the battery compartment out in the Transmitter to make the Lipo fit. Any other questions please forward your message to my thread if regarding my video tutorial http://www.msuk-foru...verted-to-lipo/ Thanks
  12. Hi I have a Duratrax Kwik-Pit Super Start which I have had for just over a year and not been used that much. My problem is that the switch has gone which isn't the issue as I don't have a problem replacing and fixing the switch. The thing that has really wound me up and I am really screwing about is that the Stupid part has been discontinued for some unknown reason no one know's and I am not getting no help from the manufacturers nor there support dept, on top of all that you can't find it anywhere on the net. From what I have found out the company labelled on the switch is called TAIWAY and if you go to there website they have the exact switch but in a different colour which I don't mind but and this is the big but you can't buy it it's just a catalogue of some sort. What I would like to hear from you guys is 1. Has anyone had the same problem? and 2. What did you do to fix this issue? I've added pictures for you to see Thanks in advance http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/15009-kwik-pit-copy/
  13. Hi jack they are good, the only B**** I have about them is the parts. No one sells them over the counter in the UK it all seems to be HPI or Traxxas, no offence to guys who own these rc's. Parts for HSP can only really be sourced on the net, only a handful are in UK and not a very good selection of stock at that.
  14. Tell your mate to put a Vid up... Love watching other people showing there RC's off
  15. Thanks Jumper. One of the reasons I put a bigger engine is because I wanted to do wheelies and it really does some wicked ones now, had an infinity .18 before which was the stock engine.... HUGE difference in power and torque now, just waiting for the sun to come out so I can put another vid up.
  16. Yea they are pretty good RC's,,, Bare in mind HSP Racing is the same skeleton as Redcat racing, Himoto and even Amax . Redcat Racing makes one of the best 1/5 scale Gas RC's which can also be found in HSP. But a lot of the upgraded parts you see in the video are hop on/upgrades that I have done myself which i think has made it a even more better truck
  17. I upgraded the engine to a SH 28 pro 6-port and from what I have read they are in the same production line as LRP and Nosram. Added new body shell, new purple wheels, changed to hitec servos, put wider hex hubs so has a wider stance better grip, changed the exhaust pipe to a SH pipe which has a quieter sound and better performance although you can't really get away from the raw of that engine but I do love that about nitro's ,kyosho springs adapted to fit CPV aluminium shocks, automatic glow starter (no need for glow plug starter), changed battery box to take Lipo rather than 4x AA's, upgraded chassis to fit big block engine, put a slightly bigger 150cc tank where as before it had 125cc, Bigger air filter by Hot Bodies, colour coded fuel and exhaust pipes, upgraded to aluminium Spur gear, toke pull-start off and replaced with roto-start backplate, changed to 2.4ghz tx/rx and loads of other little bits here and there.
  18. Sorry haven't check my forum for a while so this maybe a bit late Yea you guys are right I was running a bit lean at the time.... it was the first day I toke it out after the colder weather as it was sitting on the shelf. I'm pretty sure I got a bit trigger happy and my mate started filming at the same time but we got some good shots, sorted it out afterwards. But I do love this truck, a lot of people knock it but I think its what you make the most of .and with all the hops on and I've done loads more I will be keeping this for sometime yet. Thanks for the thumbs up

  23. Hi Just wanted to share my video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7FPndy2_ATk Enjoy!!
  24. I forgot to mention what sort of springs should I get... meaning there are different lengths and widths, does it matter how long they are and if the springs are narrower then mine I suppose thats bad? I imagine the width should be the same it's the length I'm not sure about
  25. I thought of shock oil but wouldn't that just make the bounce stiffer, I'd imagine it will still drop?!....... I'm presuming here Shocks is something I was considering but a thought came into my head that one side would be stiffer then the other as I would have to adjust the right side for it to stay higher, or is that something I would just have to live with!! Maybe I need to use both to get a good balance?! By the way I wouldn't expect stock Nitro RC to have this problem, they would very likely anticipate this and have had some resolution to it before it left factory..... if you know what I mean
