  1. hi, really love my flux but was a bit disappointed today when my rear bulkhead/diff casing broke on the bit that the turnbuckle connects too. iv been having a blast with my savage where i live as i am very lucky to have a old saxson castle ruines in my village that has loads of grass mounds great for the savage to do some great jumps on grass. but today it was abit wet to go on grass so i had a quick blast with it on the road. i was right next to the curb when i reversed at quite a slow speed and the back wheel clipped the curb. next thing the wheel was pointing at a angle i just thought some thing had come loose but the turnbuckle hole in the bulkhead had snapped clean off! this looks like quite a weak part and i guess this part get quite alot of hammer as it holding the wheel straight so would a alloy one be better that plastic? and if so does anyone sell aftermarket alloy ones? the part number is 102272
  2. what make of wheels fit on the savage will the losi aftershock le ones fit on it cos they looked good prob make the truck look bigger as well cos they were wider than the savage wheels
  3. see what you have just said is what my argument is about. if it was sat on a shelf it would be ok but doing jumps and stuff it going to come off so why the hell did hpi put crome paint on it knowing full welll that its going to come off and costing the buyer more money and time to put it right? i know this is a hobby and paint and all that is part of it but i think they are taking the pee abit out of buyers with this. i bet a set of these wheels are not cheap to buy as well if i bought a set of them and this happend they would be going straight back for that kind of money. it would have been better if they just did them in black plastic or some thing like that so there is no paint on it.
  4. well im not happy with it its only been on grass and a bit of dirt for this kind of price paid you should get better quality.
  5. hi, iv already mentioned this on my other post but thought i would started a new thread up. iv just given it a quick clean was not really that dirty but want to try and keep it in the best condition possible and noticed the wheel crome paint has flaked off on each wheel quite alot is that normal on the 2nd time running? not very happy about it as its not really a cheap thing to buy and it lets the rest of the quality of the product down.
  6. thanks again for replys iv not tightened the slipper clutch up yet but after martin34 comment i think i will defo be doing it tomorrow. i took it out today till the batteries went flat and im very very happy with it. it seems to work alot better on short grass and iv got one of the best play grounds in my village where i live that the savage loves. its a old wooden castle grounds with lots of grass mounds, hills anc flat land got some great air jumps and somersaults the savage is so easy to control in the air and just about all my landings were perfect. the power is great and at the moment im very happy with the power iv got from the batteries does wheelies with ease on the grass. iv just given it a quick clean was not really that dirty but want to try and keep it in the best condition possible and noticed the wheel crome paint has flaked off on each wheel alot is that normal on the 2nd time running? not very happy about it as its not really a cheap thing to buy and it lets the rest of the quality of the product down.
  7. thanks for all the replies and help i will have alook at the slipper clutch tomorrow sounds like it could give it abit of a improvement on proformace.
  8. not done the slipper cluch and im fairly new to this so anyone like to tell me how to do it without breaking it?
  9. so what about upgrading the speed control would that make it take more batteries or will the motor not handle it? and would it be a waste of money and end up costing more than the savage hp flux
  10. so can it take 2 packs of 2s on each side meaning 4 packs?
  11. Overlander Sport 7.4V 3900mAh 25C LiPo Stick Pack (Deans)
  12. So are the batteries i got from the combo deal on modelsport the best im going to get for power? the battery compartments look like they have been made to take 2 pack on each side.
  13. Hi everyone, well after the totally bad time with the losi aftershock le iv now sent it back and paid extra for this mean machine the savage flux 2350. i got the combo deal with it from modelsport and even though i am happy with the power it gives its still not running at its 100% power it can deliver. What i would like to know is what is the best setup for this for jumps wheeling and backflips. mine just seems to wheel spin on the spot for abit then sets off so cant do backflips or wheelies and that was on tarmac. what is the best cheapest deals on the batteries? is it best to put 4 packs in? im guessing that what the 'S' means on packs? just want it to be the best it can be really. i noticed on the gravely hard soiled land i was using it on today that the handling is not all that good it seems to pull to one side alot when powering down the throttle nothing to do with the steering trim its just when the diff works on the tracksion from what i can see once it grips on one side it pulls it that way abit is it normal?
  14. thanks for the reply i know about rebuilding and stripping them down i used to race years ago but things have moved on since them days and that was a very long time ago. it says ready to run and its not its false advertsing. then the fact the axle went like it did in the diff straight away means this is a faulty product and really with the sales of good act it should have just been replaced for new asap. iv just got my email back from the one i sent on sat to modelsport and its made me more peed off because when i phoned up on tuesday first thing they said that they could not pick the truck up to save me money and time and i had to end up stripping down the diff because i did not fancy forking out the money to send the whole thing back, then i had to drive 10 miles to post it out of my own pocket. The email stated that they would arrage there courier to pick it up as if that is there procedure so why did the lad at modelsport tell me different? this all could be sorted with just a photo sent by email of the damaged part then they could have sent me the bit i need asap.
  15. phoned modelsport up today and iv sent the part thats damaged back by special delivery. Bit of a pain having to take it all apart and then drive 10miles to post it out of my own packet for a defected part that broke just after 1 hr of use! would have saved alot of time and money if i could have just taken a photo of it like i have here to send to modelsport and then they send me the part out asap as iv paid for something thats faulty. i paid the extra £6 as well when i ordered so i could get it quicker while i was off its looks like im out of pocket from this deal and been left with a faulty product over my holiday that can not be used. If i did not strip the part down then i would have had to fork out the delivery charge for sending the whole truck back out of my own pocket again! hope it gets sorted soon and it dont happen again.
