  1. Tamiya Acrylic paint should do the trick don't use halfords as its for abs plastic and you have to prime it first maybe that's the problem it needs priming first
  2. Dot 4 is what's best period I always keep a bottle handy when I paint as when its freshly dried it only take a kitchen towel soaked in dot 4 to clear an entire 1/8 buggy shell avoid acid based or acetone based cleaners they do as relativenewbyseb said it goes cloudy and brittle dot4 doesn't it's soaks into the paint making it turn back to liquid form that's why they say don't get brake fluid on your car bodywork it can damage the paint
  3. It must be something on the board then.
  4. What happened to the Orion Pro x esc don't tell me you ran it sensored they don't react well when sensored for some reason. Did you get an mt4s or not Andy at pbm might nock a few quid of one if you ask nicely
  5. Just watched the video there's definitely something wrong with the servo in the video what exactly I couldn't say but I'd suggest taking them apart and having a look I had a power hd servo do similar to that and it was a dodgy wire from the mother board to the motor replaced it and it's still working now
  6. There's loads that fit the force engines there's the hpi there's Hong nor , ansmann ,to name three and they all have week points the hpi it's the handle the Hong nor its sometimes the spring the ansmann it's the plastic case where the screws go are week. I found ansmann ones to be cheapest and with washers on the screws the case holds up to most abuse This is a basic one http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=141393744445 Ansmann one http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=321206589408 Force one http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=400584891756 Hpi one http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=310869151482 Take your pick but the one I would get is the basic one
  7. Life packs are ok with savox its lipo power most can't take unless the 1258tg ones are high voltage in which case that's the problem they might need 7.4v to work I'll check on MS It doesn't say so I'd presume it's a standard 6v servo so life packs are ok
  8. Not watched video but I use these with all my savox servos http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=371319930818 helps keep them glitch free but have found 6.6v life packs work better with the bigger savox servos
  9. Just watched the video and all I wanted to do was smack the guy in the mouth I'll say what I've always said about these piles of junk give me the money I'll smash your engine with a hammer and send it back to you same result either way you choose to spend your money
  10. Do you have a boyes anywhere near you they sell water based airbrush paint the might even do rattle cans if not try hobbycraft it's a pity your so far away my lhs pbm is open today bit far to travel to Nottingham though
  11. I'd have to disagree i can see week points in the pictures there's a lot better out there for less
  12. In addition to what nitroholic as said I got this set http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/371314699235?_trksid=p2056016.l4276&_mwBanner=1 Note the thick black washer on the far right of the picture this helps keep the clutch bell away from the spur
  13. I might be wrong but there use to be 40 series and 30 series big joes aswell as 3.8 ones so you should be able to get some to fit Like these big joe 2 tyres http://www.modelsport.co.uk/pro-line-big-joe-ii-3.8-traxxas-style-bead-all-terrain-tires/rc-car-products/378675
  14. there isn't one for the controller but you might find one the plugs into a receiver
  15. Dot 4 break fluid for best results anything with acetone in distorts the shell there was a video by ultimate rc on YouTube but I can't find it right now
  16. I've known nimh to be charged at 10A plus before yes they don't last long but it's all personal preference 1c on nimh should be fine for most people that then works with lipo also so as bigoggy said 2000mah= 2a 3300mah= 3.3a and so on some high end chargers pre choose the safe charge rate my Orion automatically sets my 6000mah lipo to 6A charge rate I call it my charger for dummies
  17. Still for sale I'm traveling Nottingham to Bradford every day this week if anyone's interested I can make slight detour to deliver
  18. Still for sale not allowed to feed it to the dog I've been warned
  19. Still here it's got to go soon or I'll let the dog eat it
  20. Won't work as you won't find a pinion for 1/10 that will fit a 1/8 5mm shaft as everclear1984 has said sell it a simple 1/10 combo on hobbyking can be a lot better option
  21. It all depends on what power your going to run them on if it's only 4s then no need for such thick oil but if running 6s then what they've sent you should do for a starting point me personally I'd put 60k in middle and front mainly because 100k is going to nearly lock the diff
  22. That's because they use grease as standard
  23. Yes somewhere I'll try looking in the morning
