  1. Baja 5b ss or flux if hpi rerelease them and of course the team c tm8 but have to sell my team c gt8le,t8v2 and Stoke e and my savage x4.6 but I can't even give away my thunder tiger tomahawk St
  2. No as the heat from the engine would cancel what the thread lock is doing anyway just get a really good hex driver and tighten them up the constant heat then cooling will sometimes cause them to get really tight this is why when I need to strip an engine I undo the head bolts just after it's been run
  3. That's the job thanks Si Coe and sorry tamiyacowboy but but mamba to me is like something Jeremy clarkson would go for just insane power and speed and unreliable
  4. Thanks I was looking at a few and just started to get baffled especially with the brca rules thing is I was looking at the turnigy trackstar brca approved one here http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__33973__Trackstar_GenII_120A_1_10th_Scale_Sensored_Brushless_Car_ESC_ROAR_BRCA_approved_.html But as even I've said buy cheap buy twice then I saw the speed passion revention pro and I can get that for
  5. Basically as title guys I'm searching for a good esc to start with that will last as I learn as I've just got my first touring car in thirty years I went for the Durango detc410 as it was cheap Fatboy

    XTM Grinders

You'll be luck to get decent ones I'd recommend acetone the tyres off your wheels and using the same wheels and inserts get the fastrax twister tyres http://www.modelsport.co.uk/fastrax-1-8th-twister-truggy-spike-tyres-medium-compound/rc-car-products/372423
  8. Last chance before it goes on eBay tonight
  9. Don't know if this will work but the savage f4.6 is a force engine is the k5.9 if so this is your best option for cheap fix http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=371005071329 But as I said depends if the k5.9 is a force engine
  10. Edited my answer check again
  11. There was a issue a year or so ago with them snapping while breaking in its not uncommon if it's not done Much damage it's an easy fix and if you know where to look can be done cheap In fact first look on eBay gave me this http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=131504462188 Does mean a complete strip down and cleaning the crank case and crank shaft very very well to get rid of shrapnel I just use oil through an hvlp spray gun like a jet to clean
  12. savox sw0231mg should do the job but wait for others to recommend before you choose what to get
  13. Just google the truck one was stadium raider and twin motor version was twin detonator But all this is pointless as the seller wants
  14. Now now noj keep it friendly just airing a different view from someone who's owned the cars mentioned the tl01b came in three form baja champ baja king (USA) and a truck style that the name I can't remember I've got the manual at home people who have the onroad stronger chassis tl01 combine parts of the tl01b to make a decent monster truck think it was also used by tamiya to do one can't quite remember think it was the twin motor one name ah who cares but rally car body yeh the tl01 was ment as a rally chassis though not a very good one
  15. Wrong answers on so many levels the tl01b isn't common as muck it's somewhat sort after by those with tl01 cars looking for parts to modify their on road cars but that one is in poor condition as said now let's start with my favourite subject team c and ansmann that core truck was ansmann said version of team c tr02sc and they are still doing parts and their worth having if you fancy doing a bit of modifying they can be switched to the stronger mid motor model check out team c official forum And who said absima is ansmann their partly right it's just the main man at absima is the head guy that screwed up ansmann I wouldn't trust him to clean a toilet never mind run a company Here's the pro race version from team c http://www.tcmodels.net/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=275&category_id=18&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=71
  16. There was an electric version but to convert this you might as well buy the electric one new you still looking for a buggy or truggy if so I'd recommend this http://www.modelsport.co.uk/team-c-1-10-ep-truggy-tr02-v2-2wd-kit/rc-car-products/389024 But if your interested I might be selling this soon http://www.eurorc.com/product/1403/teamc-tc02-evo-110-2wd-buggy---kit it's only a race roller but might sell my turnigy combo like this http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__25138__Turnigy_TrackStar_Waterproof_1_10_Brushless_Power_System_4000KV_80A.html Both car and setup have never been used
  17. Even worse don't go with credit card also don't get friendly with Andy or richard at pbm standing in their store room is too overwhelming boxes stacked floor to ceiling and don't stand in the front of the shop the wall of wheels and tyres you'll end up buying three or four spare sets before you leave
  18. as Tamiyacowboy has said water based acrylic paint should work try autoair pants from www.createxcolors.com or send them an email they do most the airbrush stuff I'm trying at the moment they do more colours then you'll need
