  1. Thanks for the suggestions, I have some spare fuel line, so I will replace it. Just received some new fuel & batteries, so I will pour some in the carb, leave for a while, cross my fingers and go from there. I do have some brake cleaner, but I've heard it's not good for a Nitro engine?? I think I've found the factory settings for the Go .25 3 Port Sport Engine, but I will write down my current settings first. HSN 3.5 turns out from fully in LSN 1 turn in from flush Idle 0.8mm Looking forward to getting this running at the weekend. This is one of the reasons I bought it, but I have no idea what is better than a standard Hyper 7/8.
  2. My Hyper has been sitting on a shelf gathering dust for 5 years, so I have decided to bring it back to life! When I shelved it, it still had fuel in the tank and I don't think I had used after run oil either. Spec: Hyper 8.5 Pro, Savox Servo's, Go! 25 Engine, JP-4 Exhaust, Spektrum 2.4Ghz Receiver & Futaba 3PK transmitter So at the weekend I dusted it off, put the batteries on charge, gave it a wipe over and checked to see what is needed to get it running. I replaced the fuel tank as it had a lot of gunk in the bottom. I checked the fuel lines and they seem ok, I was able to blow through the pipes. Checked & tightened screws/bolts. Engine It took a fair amount of force to pull the pull start, but it loosed up after a few pulls. I tried it a couple of hours later and it was the same, it took a lot to get it to pull first time, but then loosened up. The pull start string is very tacky/sticky, feels like a glue covering the string. Electronics Batteries charged, I checked the receiver & servo's and found everything to work!! Throttle, brake and steering all seem fine, even the transmitter still had all my settings! Batteries lasted about 5 minutes, so I've ordered some new ones. So at the moment I am waiting on fuel (Byron 25%) as that's what I previously used, a hump pack and battery pack for the transmitter. Question Will the engine be ok, or should I clean it first? I would prefer to do as little as possible to get it running. Should I re-tune the engine to base settings and go from there, or can I just put some fuel in it and see if it runs, it was a really hot summer last time I had it running, similar to today.
  3. I've got one, the quality of the picture isn't as good as the GoPro Hero sports cam. The MiniDV is tiny in comparison and the quality of the video isn't too bad.
  4. I think what we could do with is a Hyper Thread, with peoples setups, questions & things. I know there is a Hyper Thread on RCUniverse thats 60 pages long, but hasn't had much activity in the last year. Hyper's aren't as common as they are in Spain/Portugal & the States, so don't think a specific forum would do very well. I'm currently trying to find info on the diff oil weights as mine understeers coming out of the corners.

    [SOLD]

Arghhh, you twisted my arm! I'll have it, if no one else has yet. If you could advise the address to send payment, I'll send it today.
  6. What camera & PS have you got Splat? I see you have a Canon 50D, you can use Canon DPP and use that to convert from RAW to Tiff/JPG and things. With the stuff you're doing, it would be worth your while shooting in RAW.
  7. Splat! Haha, I've seen those, on STW! With the over exposed skies, what you could do is expose for the sky and expose for the foreground in a RAW editor/PS then layer the two together. Hopefully someone gets what I'm on about! I really need to start photographing more things! Not my best, not my worst.. But its the only thing I've taken this month! lol
  8. Are you after an RC or Robot (Autonomous)? There is a robot out already called the Ball Picker. Without much details, we can't give you much details.
  9. Here it is, nearly finished. Wasn't able to get the chain for underneath, as the staff at B&Q didn't know how to use the chain cutter! I'll hopefully get to paint it later this week.
  10. I went for the foldable-flatpack ramp. Very similar to RC Bashers Pics to follow soon! Hopefully tonight!
  11. Nearly finished my ramp too! I've got to pop to B&Q for a couple more hinges and some paint. Oh and use the angle grinder to take off some of the screws that have gone through the wood! Hopefully get some photo's up late this evening.
  12. Nice links! I'll be building a ramp this weekend then!
  13. I haven't had time to fix the front end, replace the shocks and manifold. So I won't be there tomorrow.
  14. Do you have anymore details on the Savage 25? If you know of any bits missing or not working?
  15. This evening this happened after about 2 minutes... It dug in on a slight dip, ripped the tyre off the rim and snapped the front right wishbone. I then noticed my rear left shock has leaked and the manifold has a crack in it. Hopefully I'll get this fixed.
