  1. You take out the glow plug when you finished for the day and put a couple of drops into where the glow plug screws in ( down in the hole) then pull the pull start/ turn over the engine a couple of times and leave it mate. Keeps the engine lubricated. ( when I say turn the engine over I don't mean try too start the engine up, lol)
  2. No worries. Yeah they pretty easy too set up mate and you won't get the servos moving by themselves like the 27mhz and 40mhz systems do, this means it's easier too tune your vehicle aswell. The main thing I looked for when I got a new controller was: 2.4ghz/how many channels/if it has built in charging jack so i don't need to take my rechargeable batteries out, lol You basically just take out your old receiver and plug in your servo wires into the CORRECT slots and turn it on and have a play around with it till you get it right. Instruction manual will be included so it's all there for you. Get any problems and report back here, someone will help you out. Good luck
  3. Yeah they all do the trims. It will do what you want it too do mate. It's just some people prefer or need the extra channel on controller/receiver. For
  4. Well it's a 2.4ghz and has a built in failsafe. It only has 2 channels tho so if you have reverse or upgrade later you will be limited on your receiver. But yes it will do what you want. The ansmann w3 is similar except it's 3 channels and had a LCD display
  5. Get a failsafe mate. One end plugs into throttle/brake servo and other end in your receiver. Them you set it up so the brakes come on if battery in car goes flat or car goes out of range. 2.4ghz controllers have them built in on the receiver but still need setting up which is easy to do. I use the ansmann w3 2.4ghz controller which is a budget range but with 2.4ghz you don't get interference from servos bouncing around and you don't need crystals. I payed
  6. Anyone bashing in south east London tonight?

    1. ruff ryder

      ruff ryder

  7. Is waiting for my fg diff too arrive so I can start bashing....come on postman pat, lol

  8. Slough rc is another one mainly planes tho but do do car stuff
  9. Smaller clutch bell mate. Never heard of a 50 tooth spur gear for a savage
  10. Hi I'd get rid of most of the alloy and stick with plastic mate. Alloy breaks/bends unlike plastic which flexs. You can put any tank protector on it. Dint bother with alloy one they leak. Savage 25 has 14mm wheel hexs so any 14mm wheels will fit. Get a wheelie bar and engine/roll cage from a savage x and strengthen up the savage. Parts are cheap on eBay and all bits from all the savage range will fit yours.
  11. Anyone got a marder/beetle shell for sale?

  12. Hi What's your budget mate? I have a spektrum dx3s boxed with everything plus an extra receiver. Pm me if interested.
  13. Hi Anyone know of any good places too bash in south east London/north Kent areas? Not into racing just messing around having a laugh. Cheers
  14. I got a couple of nitro trucks aswell. Hpi savage x 4.6 and cen genesis or a traxxas tmaxx 2.5. Pm me if interested. Thanks
  15. Hi my brother in law has a tmaxx 2.5 with a couple of bodyshells and the 3.3 gearbox plus a spare 2.2 gearbox has the ez start wand and all ready too run. I think he wants approximate
  16. Hi Got any pics and how much do you want for them? Thanks
  17. The current chassis is a kind of greeny colour and looking at the marsders on eBay and other sites mine isn't a marder chassis it's think and bloody heavy, lol I'm a eBay shop-a-holic so 90% of my truck parts come from eBay. I don't mind stripping and re building these nitros so thought best way too learn te 2 stroke is get a cheap one and do it up, lol mine only cost me
  18. Thanks for that filter link mate. That looks like a hpi savage type of 2 stage filter?? Will stick my unused k&n filter on eBay then whenit arrives, cheers for that. I can't upload pics from my iPhone on this forum but will get some pics up tomorrow for you.
  19. Wow thatlnks for that info nitroholic appreciate that mate. Damn I thought the k&n filter would be good, lol Off the top of my head I think that the gear on clutch bell is metal but te bigger one is plastic ( don't you need a plastic gear for the "weak point" in the transmission like on the nitro trucks?? I should just say that although mine is a clone it looks as tho it's just the chassis and front end that's not a fg marder, hence new fg chassis on order. The engine is a cy 23cc but has the 29cc big bore purple head kit ( I think that's what it's called, lol) the spares it came with are from what ever it was before and a few fg bits and bobs. He alloy diff on order is from good ole eBay is ready made up too bolt straight on so that should be ok too do. Damn again about the twin boost bottles, thought try were ok and it sounds good aswel, lol I heard about these remote kill switches but can only find 1 on eBay for
  20. Hi Yeah I have a ansmann w3 radio ( not fitted it yet)
  21. I'm in need of a set of wheels too fit a fg marder and a decent body shell, remote kill switch and front cable brakes for the right price. If you have any of the items I require and live in London or south east England then please let me know. Thanks
  22. Hi I'm new too the forum and the 2 stroke petrol vehicles. I just got hold of a secondhand fg marder clone and wanted too know any issues they have or more importantly what upgrades I should be looking too get? The marder has a 29cc purple head kit, twin boost bottles, standard twin vented brakes, alloy shocks x4, big black 3 part tuned exhaust, failsafe, 1/4 size hi tech steering servo and a ace throttle/brake servo already on it when I got it. I have ordered the following items: marder chassis, k&n air filter, solid all alloy diff. Any help or advise would be great. Thanks
  23. Hi I'm selling or swapping my Cen Genesis 46 nitro truck. Cen genesis 46 nitro truck: Biggest 1/8 nitro truck you can buy and has 3 speed auto gearbox with reverse gear, nearly 8" wheels, 3 high torque servos, full home made roll cage sprayed red too match chassis plates. No body shell with this truck. Engine is the nx-76 (5 horsepower) but with the genesis 7.7 cooling head ( engine compression is very tight as it's not been run in completely yet and comes with roto start backplate, no starting gear tho. You will need too heat engine up with hairdryer it's that new/tight.) 27mhz receiver with crystal,
