  1. Hi all just a update on my Baja. just been ordering some new bits. In the post is the HD clutch system, Uber preditor exhaust and front and rear bumpers. I have also done the roll cage mod, how much easier does that make life. I think I have covered most of the advice I have been given, so now the necessary mods will be done I can just replace as it breaks . Will get some pictures up when it is all fitted. Happy bashing
  2. Did you actualy get it from there or is there a UK sockist. If you got it from there what was the shipping like.
  3. Hi there where did you get the stand for your Baja, looks like it would make working on it easier. Nice looking car you have there to.
  4. The killerBee is working flawlessly with my radio, you just have to order the V2s version which was altered so it works with the Spectrum gear.
  5. Hi there been adding the new bits I ordered. The killer Bee V2s works how I was hoping it would, you are correct on it not working on the thired channel but then turn the transmitter of and it works fine so not seeing any real difference in that realy unless someone knows something I don't ( which is very likely ). The outerwears stuff fitted great not problems there. The shock socks seemed a little long but again no real problems. The window kit could have been a bit better or maybe I am being a little fussy don't get me wrong went on ok and will do the job I just wasn't over the moon about them. I am definatly going to look at the roll cage situation, what a pain in the rear end it is everytime you need to get that of. Well here is a couple of pictures since adding the new bits. I hope you like it.
  6. H all I have the Spectrum DX3s but keep being told that was not the way to and that I should go for the Futaba 3PM has this got the built in fail safe or do I need one, I do have the killer Bee kill switch is this enough by itself or do I need a fail safe as well. What are your views on the the radio gear I have already I'm not to worried if I got to change it just want some good advise. Cheers Martin
  7. Thanks for all your replies and help, toys4x4boys I think I am going to take your advise to start with and get the HD clutch system from turtle racing, its in orange to . Erevo Maxx1 kill switch was already on order will be fitting it over the weekend, I got the killer bee one went for the full monty got the buzzer and led to. MRP I am loving the exhaust big time anyone know who and where I can get one, I am guessing that I would need to add the rear bumper to protect it a little anyone got any thoughts on that. Thats me for tonight, happy racing Martin
  8. OK what did I do wrong with the pictures????????? sorted them should have read the how to first
  9. Hi thanks for your replies I have a couple of pictures for ya. Still waiting on the postman for my new bits, but here she is as it is now. can't wait for my new bits to arrive. Would be open to any advise on any other upgrades or mods that have been successfully tried out that might make my life easier in the long run or make it perform or look better. Hope to be a regular on here and get to know you all. Have Fun
  10. Hi Guys finally finished building my SS and got the chance to start it over the weekend, looking forward to running it now after getting it run in, any advice on this? Taking the advice and selling the Shenqui big foot truck got someone at work interested and should be gone at the end of next month. Hop ups so far fully enclosed ally wheel nuts fitted in the post today is window kit outerwears for pull start & air filter killer bee V2s kill switch don't want to leave it all down to the fail safe what would be the next things to look out for any weak points I need to look at or mods that will make my life easier in the long run. Will try to get a couple of pictures up when I get time and when I work out how to do it. I really love the paint job on the body that a local guy did for me. Might not be to everyone's taste but I like it, just one colour shame pictures don't do it justice but that's always the way in my experience. Have fun, bash hard. Martin
  11. Got it sorted or just about, seems like my guesing was correct and it was a polarity problem, only thing now is to try and sort the fail safe didn't seem to work right the first time> will post the results later. Cheers
  12. Hi There I am having a little trouble with my Spectrum set up. There is no instructions telling you what pins are the lives etc so maybe it is down to that. This post would suit anyone tat has this reciever I think. Now if I was looking at the receiver with the writing the correct wat round and the pins at the bottom, the bind plug crosses between the 1st and 3rd pins as this is how the plug is. (we will say 1 being the top pin). Now I was plugging in the power to the pin 1 & 2 the darker coloured lead in one and the red lead into 2. Now my problem is that the LED is ment to blink at this point showing it is in bind mode then go solid once binding is complete, as soon as I turn on the power it is already solid and won't blick. Am I doing something wrong or is there a wiring diagram anywhere that can help. Or if someone wants to talk me through it they can supply a phone number and I will call or vice versa. Cheers
  13. Thankyou all for your advice. I went for your suggestion Echlin and went for the Savox servo also ordered the Spektrum radio gear and the HPI hump pack, so now I just gotta wait for the postie so I can continue the build and get it running. Cheers Martin:good:
  14. Hi Guys I have just started a thread asking for advice on my Baja so would be gratful of help there. It is under the petrol forum. Martin
  15. Hi there hopefully one of you guys will be able to help me out. I have just purchased a HPI Baja 5B ss after just two weeks of owning a Shenqui bigfoot, I bought this to see if I was going to enjoy this hobbie, i'm guessing I did. What I need to know is what servo I should buy for the braking and throttle I would like one that wasn't going to distroy itself after five minutes and also one that would fit straight on or at least with minimal modification. I have kinda decided what Transmiter and receiver I am going to get and I was also going to get the HPI hump pack instead of trying to fit anything different. The radio gear I was looking at getting is Spektrum DX3S V2 3CH DSM Telemetry Combo. Would I be going down the right road with my selection or is there better alternatives that I should look at first also any help on the servo would be gratefully received I was thinking maybe to add front disc brakes later on so maybe a servo capable of running them as well in the first place to make the later upgrade more affordable would be advantagous. Thanking you all in advance Martin
