  1. hi folks need a repinch on my arne 21 piston/sleeve does anybody know who does them and us it worth it. i looked at the price of new sleeve and piston and its nearly the price of new engine
  2. have had exactly the same problem with my hyper. i recently fitted an lrp z21r engine in it and it kept bogging at wot. i had set the hsn to what was listed as factory setting 3 turns out. This turned out to be a mile out as i had to turn the hsn to 4 turns out now its perfect. moral of story is you cant always trust factory settings
  3. like i say had 4 hd servos for ages now and none of mine have failed
  4. ive had 4 hd servos never had no probs and would swear by them. just make sure they are proper hd servos not imitations and you cant go wrong. never mind the snobs with the savoxs
  5. you would have been better buying a dx2 with receiver brand new on ebay for

    Fuel

you can use whatever fuel you want but make sure that the engine is clear of the previous fuel. i wouldnt advise mixing 2 different makes of fuel though. you may also need to tweak the tune a bit
  10. have you checked the tank to make sure it is not leaking. it may be the seal on the lid. to test it take pipe off carb blow down pipe and listen for any air escaping
  11. just a word of warning for anyone running in an lrp z21r engine. the manual states 3turns out for both hsn and lsn so thats what i set the needles to on run in. This appeared to be fine unti after 6 tanks i used wot (full throttle) and then it seemed to lean bog. i nitially tried richening which didnt seem to make any difference, so i leaned it out and it was no better. so i decided to wind the hsn out to 4 turns out and hey presto it was faster and didnt lean bog anymore. to any one buying one of these engines i would set the hsn to at least 4and a half turns out initially. once tuned though this is a great engine
  12. does anyone know where i can purchase some big bore shock springs for my ansmann virus 2. it came with white springs which are too soft. i want to upgrade to harder springs

    Fuel

its down to percentage of nitro. the higher the number the more nitro therefore the more power you get. depending on size of engine try to use 25%. but if it is less than a 16 engine i wouldnt advise 25% possibly 20 maximum if you use 25% on small engine you will need to shim it, i use 16% o my fazer with a 16 engine and it goes like stink.I use 25% on my ansmann virus which has 21 engine its not advisable to mix brands due to oil content. good brands are as follows byrons gen 2 ,optifuel , monster juice
  16. dunno about inferno but i have a kyosho fazer which is really good and fast also
  17. sounds like it could be the hsn too lean turn it back a touch
  18. i have 2 power hd servos excellent and never had any issues hd1501 for steering very powerful servo aroud £18 and hd9001 for servo aroud same price the steering servo needs to be a powerful one whereas the throttle although important does not need to be under £40 for both good bargain modelsport uk
