  1. hi all. i have a gv rex-x with a .25 force, 13t clutch bell, 46t spur gear and 13t pinion gears front and back from the center diff to the f and r diffs and basicly i want more torque. would i benifit from puttin 16t pinions in? or would that just give me more top end than bottom end. i dont have brilliant funds and am looking for something that wont cost an arm and a leg to upgrade and wont take ages to swap around if i want to go into the open. also does any1 have a 53t center spur gear for the rex-x goin cheap? as the diff only seems to be able to use 1 type. was also thinkin about getting the 16t pinions and a 53t spur but i dont know and could do with some help making my mind up. can any1 help?
  2. washing up liquid and make sure the filter is rinsed out properly. i used a pp3 face mas to make a sleeve for my filter, my view is if its good enough to protect people from asbestos it must be good enough to protect my engine from dust. and it doesnt damper air flow
  3. hi, just a thaught that might or might not work. cut the arms in half, get something like the pins used in savage to hold the drive hex bits on the the shaft bjut longer, drill holes out in the steerin arms then glue the pins in, the deeper the pin goes the more toe out u get and vice versa. i just dont know if it would be strong enough. im sure some1 on here will come up with something better
  4. my neighbour made a glass shell, i forget what it was for but it was shaped in a pickup truck, itsgot cracks and splits all over the front. although it holds together it still looks a mess
  5. hi, can u get parts anywhere? i have been tryin for a few years for my cen gx1 scooby but cant get em anywhere. i was thinkin about gettin another 1/10 of some sort and try to make 1 good 1 usin as many of the scooby bits as i can
  6. yeah deffinately, like i said grp is only good for the looks if you want ur kit on a pedistal all the time. no good for offroad bashing coz it will break and no good for touring car coz its too heavy have u got any pics of it yet?
  7. hi, i was working in a grp factory till a few months ago, im assuming you only used 300g glass and only 1 layer thick, if you use two layers of 300g you should be fine or if you use 600g at 1 layer you should be fine. grp can be a good substitute, you just need to know how to use it. although i wouldnt use it for bashing just for show as it does not have the give that lexan does. also did you roll the glass out after "wetting" it or just "wet" it then leave it to dry?

    rex-x spur gear

    im thinkin about gettin a bigger clutch bell to use with the 46t sg when im out in the open but i really dont want a smaller cb. the garden is about 6 meters by 3 hence why i want more acceleration than anythin for the garden. its not big enough to do any spectacular speeds but its ok for just arsin about in the afternoon and takin it up a small jump i made, atm it can get about 5-6foot of air and about 1-2 meters distance with about 1.5 to 2m run up
  9. twitching throttle can be normal, my rex does it all the time but it doesnt interfere with the engine to a noticable effect, try putting new batteries in and check to see if there are any items around that emit a high emf also check ur xstals are properly secure
  10. hi, in my experience the first plug is only good for breaking in then needs replacing. dont forget its not just a case of any plug will do, u need to take into consideration air temps, fuel content and what type of plug your engine prefers whithin these parameters
  11. hi all, i have a rex-x with a force 25 engine running 25% nitro. i have a 13t vented clutch bell and the stock (but replaced after failed bearings shredded the original) 46t spur gear. i am thinking of gettin a 54t spur gear for when im bashin in my back garden which isnt very big and was wondering if its worth the money or if i would be better doing something els for similar money to get better acceleration. as it is its pretty rapid, but i want more. can anybody help me with this?
