  1. gave it a go monday and it just started to fire up after leakin fuel all over the kitchen floor, but before it could actually fire up, the pullstart broke. had man flu all week so not really been bothered with it but today i finally got round to fixin the pullstart and it fired straight up with the residual fuel in the carb. so i'll replace the fuel line tomorrow and take it out for a blast round the car park. that is assuming the carb and engine is ok since i killed it pretty quick so not to fill the place up with smoke but it seems promising. the stalker can sounds pretty nice
  2. i tried 1 a mate had in his box a few months ago. saw no difference bashing in a car park. as nitro said basicly
  3. i ended up gettin go juice and oil for my goped so will be another couple of weeks till i get mine lol
  4. i'd rather be branded as selfish than a mug that has to fork out for new kit all the time because tea leaves keep "borrowing" things
  5. gutted for you mate. i dont lend anything out unless its somebody i know well, if anybody comes to me asking for this that or the other and i dont know them, i tell them to bring it to me or tell me where to meet them so everything i take, comes home with me too
  6. ahh ive missed that smell. i love the smell of 2 stroke in the mornin

more like stink the entire block of flats out from a leaky tank lol woops

  7. resistors are just current limiting to protect the leds so they dont burn out too quick. in theory, 3 x 2v leds should be ok on a 6v supply if run in series but you should still run resistors to increase the life of the leds, especially if they are parallel. you can get strips of resistors on ebay dirt cheap. last time i did this, i used 330ohm resistors. im sure somebody will be able to explain better than i can though. in the final version, i used 1 resistor straight off the output and it was ok for a while but 2 of the 3 leds i used burnt out pretty quick
  8. i use tool box brand super glue from poundland, not found anything thats come unstuck after using it yet
  9. thanks man its got alot of aftermarket stuff on it. the problem with the primer not workin was due to crust inside that didnt come out in the first clean. gave it another blast and prod with screw loose and it sucks fine now, just gotta get some go juice to see if itl fire up
  10. anybody know where to download youview firmware? a mate has a second hand youview box which during a power cut, the hdd died

      Tamiyacowboy

depends what box you have buddy and most are updated via FOTA ( free over the air), try the factory reset button, if that dont work possible the hdd and the chipset was damaged

the makers of the box should have a site, i would start there and look for the firmware or possible bios/firmware flash file

cheers mate, there is an option to download over internet but the only hdd he has spare atm is too small so the auto download kicks up a stink. was gonna try and force it with a predownloaded update but hes just gonna wait and see what he can get from work on tuesday

  11. if you are really concerned then strip the engine down and inspect for damage. it could have just been a backfire. tbh your post is a little confusing, did it go bang while filling the tank, after filling, before filling, was the engine running?
  12. the flywheel should have a tapered collet behind which secures it to the shaft when its bolted up. if you put a couple of washers between the collet and the bearing that should push the flywheel forward and clear the chassis. just make sure the washers are smaller than the race of the bearing. same for the clutchbell, use washers to take up the slack. some end play on the clutchbell is ok aslong as it dont rub on anything and doesnt move past the end of the clutch shoes if that makes sense but i would say 3mm is too much
  13. oh good cheers for that. having given it another clean with some screw loose and another prod, whatever was blockin it seems to have shifted now because its priming as it should be and the rubbers inside are lookin pretty good. ive had worse that ran just fine so i think i will hold off on the rebuild kit for now and see if itl run first, just need to get some petrol and oil. ive saved that link so if i do need to rebuild it, i can go straight to it so thank you very much for gettin it for me. atm im goin over the whole thing with a toothbrush and emry paper cleanin and derustin it. there is a thread in lounge with a few pics of the goped

next to my local hobby store is a petrol station to, so you can buy some fuel and upgrades or what not for your rc

  15. cheers mate, i was lookin but not seein lol. question: if you blow into the fuel inlet side of the carb, should you be able to keep blowing or should it preasurise and not pass any air through?
  16. perfect, thanks for that. do you know if the take visa? paypal is messed up and cant use it atm
  17. can anybody tell me anything about this carb? possible upgrades and where the best place to get a rebuild kit from would be great. the primer doesnt suck anything up but does push air through the return line. when it was wet it sounded like air was bein sucked in around the white bit directectly under the primer bulb. on the carb it says WT 603A 336 P.S. its for a goped
  18. already found a problem with it, the primer bulb aint suckin anything up at all, seems to be leakin from the white bit directly under it
  19. the carb is a walbro wt 336, are they any good? i reckon there must be better out there for it but i wont be able to afford a nice new better version any time soon with other prjects on the go too. gettin a turnigy f1 gokart this week comin and will need to get a new rear tyre and grip tape for the output shaft of the goped so that carb will have to do for now. the front brake was rusted pretty much solid so will be takin a wire wheel to the disk, the caliper cleaned up nicely although a bit coreded. i think i will be takin a wire wheel to all the ally on the engine but i want to make sure it runs first then will get a gasket set, strip it down, wire wheel it and get it all smooth and nice... maybe
  20. i aquired a goped and was a little baffled by the numbers on the head of the engine
  21. i have an engine that says 260 on the cran case but also has 2070 on the head, what does the 2070 mean?

      Nitroholic

      If I remember right, 2070 is a Zenoah 26cc ( 34mm piston)

    3. Tamiyacowboy

      Tamiyacowboy

2070 is the markings of a 34mm Zenoah topend, or 26cc on stock 28mm stroke
