  1. ahh right ok mate i get you now, they are good cars i would say around £100 but theres mates rates and all the rest of it but do some research on the parts first mate major important part to owning any car is parts back up. I dont order from schumacher that often so i have no idea what the parts situation is like on the menance .21 but give them a ring and ask them what they have if they say they have good parts back-up still then go for it be a good nitro to start of with. Schumacher racing : Tel: +44 (0) 1604 790 770
  2. haha d.i.y at its best if you ask me sounds like it was worth it for the first part of it changing the ports it could have just been than little to much for it as it was one of your old engines just probably wasn't up to the pressure. Like putting nitros in a mini engine lol sounds brill though also sounds like one of those moments where you wished you had someone with the video camera out.
  3. i had one on my hyper but it wasn't for racing was on when i was bashing i put one on to see if it made a difference have to say i think it did but it could of just been me, i never went as far as timing it without and with one on. Its not been on for a while and i havn't missed it put it that way. In the racing world every little detail counts so it could give you that small detail which gives you that extra edge.
  4. I use the standard type hump pack in mine as smoothybb said either will fit when you cable tie them use good cable ties too ive done some 20 plus foot jumps with mine and on the landings i have snapped cable ties, and watch what the car wants to do under its own control lol
  5. all hump pack batteries are pretty much the same price from all the model shops and since this is modelsports forum maybe you should try them first
  6. "bounced off a unit door and landed in deep grass" - you dont know how lucky you are lol mine hit walls fences or that 1 tree stump in the middle of a field lol obvious question but have you checked the failsafe is set-up ? there are battery voltage meters personally i wouldnt run the car for longer than 4 hours with aa batteries or a hump pack thats my failsafe lol
  7. Schumacher menance 21 good cars, schumacher discontinued them some time ago once they done that all the info disapeared so is it that you own one and want to sell it ? if so you would know all about it or is it that you want to get one ?
  8. have to say i have not seen one like that before guessing kyosho or tamiya looks that sort of model look after it though vintage could be worth more money in the future or now than you expect
  9. not good to here your first nitro car is a pain in the butt hpi is a safe make to go with aswell, so you could just have one of those bad eggs so to speak, next time a plug goes or you take it out to check it have a look in the top of the engine to make sure you dont have an element from a previous blown plug bouncing around inside. I have had that before and just kept blowing plugs 1 after the other. HPI have one of the best warranty's going in the rc world so if its becoming to much of a pain contact the people you got it from and they may be able to get replacement parts like engine etc from HPI. This is not guaranteed because normally engines are not covered once fuel has passed through them but its got to be worth a try.
  10. welcome to the forum most model shops will stock fuel for your car, so it comes down to personal preference more than anything else.
  11. This is so true i put a 5800kv dynamite system in a losi xxx sct and had to gear it right down and if i put it on 3s it will just spin out also gets very hot in a short course. Going back to your question never heard of INIX so can't realy help you that much 60a esc is ok so 3s should be no problem and £60 all in is a good deal around the same as ezrun personally i'd go with ezrun as its been tried and tested allot more.
  12. Crason parts are quite hard to get hold of and they are not quick to supply so if any of the above shops have the stock id stick with them chances are you would struggle to find them anywhere else.
  13. Thats true you can have anyone you want personaly id go for something big like a vorza or a rc8be and then put some crazy brushless system in it
  14. my fave car i have ever owned was a kyosho inferno tr15 i loved that car was amazing and lasted me over 5 years before a friend of mine crashed it into a curb and turned it into a banana. I have a hyper 7 with mac 28 engine and a losi xxx sct now.
  15. Ahh right that is interesting with-it being 5mm should be able to fit a mod 1 pinion on there no problem, you are lucky there quite sort after along with the reducers and 540/550 motors with 5mm shafts cant for the life of me find anyone that does them in the UK
  16. Hiya think i might have a play with the settings on my esc to be honest ive just left the standard settings on all my brushless systems never bothered programming them is it a 3mm shaft or 5mm ? for you slash i suspect you had to use a mod 1 pinion ?
  17. Sweet ive got a friend who has just brought a losi ten scte and hes looking for a brushless system to go in that which i think is heavier than the slash 4x4 this maybe an option he can think about
  18. Ahh right i am surprised at that there signature esc's are either the 35a or 60a if you could find a link ill have a nosey
  19. I here good things about the castle creations gear all the time as they used 4 pole motors instead of 2 which means the motor has more torque and speed combined than a 2 pole. EZrun SC combo? - cant say i have seen that before is that just the 9t ez run with a 60a esc?
  20. Yeah a sensor wire would help if your not careful you can burn your motor wires out seen a friend do that when his sensor wire fell out, i put a dynamite 5700 kv system in my losi xxx sct and that got stupidly hot i did have a 25t pinion gear on it which wouldn't help. Learned the hard way its much better to have a lower kv motor and put more voltage in it than it is to have a higher kv with less voltage. dynamite system is still doing ok lowered the gearing down to 17t still gets hot but its not as bad. think ill go for something like the flux shot which is just the ezrun 9t system.
  21. might be worth looking at 2.4ghz its not totaly bullet proof but less hassle than crystals, you did say when you switch so with the old system in did it twitch ?
