  1. I run 5.5mm. They are more than man enough for the job & that's also what the bigger HobbyKing lipos come fitted with....so than 50% less soldering too Lazy...me?
  2. Replied to PM. I won't be accepting any low-ball bids on this btw people,
  3. Savox 1256TG servo that is brand new. I have opened the packaging to make sure it's all there and I have plugged it in to my Savage to see that it works as it should, and it does. One of the best servo's you can get, loads of torque (20kg) which makes it ideal for Monster truck steering duties. This would normally cost you around
  4. Hey Josh, how goes it mate? I know I know, I have spent a fortune on my Flux but it's time to move on...I've lost the love with RC and spend my time (and money) on guns now. Roie has first refusal, he called dibs a long time ago so the balls in his court right now. Jim has shown an interest too. Who know's, I might regret selling it, but if I do I'll comfort myself with a nice new BSA R-10!
  5. I'm hoping to sell it as a RTR package, it's a great truck and it'd be a shame to part it out, but if that's what I need to do then so be it.
  6. Got my Flux up and running again after my GH (now sold) steering assembly stripped the gears in my 1256! I've gone back to the stock plastic assembly (now ball raced) which never gave me or my 1256 any trouble, two steps forward and one step back. Now I just need to do a full power test and paint the new shell. It's already been coated in liquid mask, just gotta figure out what colours I'm going to use now So then, who wants to buy it? It's looking likely that I'll be selling all my RC kit....I've got myself hooked on shooting and when I look at the Flux I see a new rifle
  7. First up is a Golden Horizons alloy bell crank steering assembly. This was fitted to my Savage Flux but it'll fit other Savage's too. TBH I didn't get on with it, I found the action and spring to be too stiff even though I've smoothed out both contact areas (see pic) I think it would be fine on a Nitro Savage though. It comes with x4 ball races and mounting hardware. Only been used once for 15mins max. SOLD to Mr Nitroholic Next up is my Bushnell Velocity hand held speed gun. Want to know exacty how fast your RC is? Wanna separate the men form the boys? Well here's your chance!! This is child's play to use and once every one's see's it, they ALL want to know how fast their car is! The fastest I've seen on this was a 75mph but I'll show up to 200mph. I cant actully find the instructions but it's so easy to use, just push the big yellow button at the back, aim, pull & hold the trigger! Shows in MPH or KPH. Comes with it's bag and a new set of batteries. £60 delivered inc PP fees Thanks for looking
  8. OK, I've taken the GH steering assembly out and replaced it with the stock plastic set-up which, I've ball raced to make as smooth as possible. I found that it wasn't just the spring that was to heavy on the GH set-up, the two half's of the servo saver just don't have a nice smooth action like the stock set-up has. So I used my Dremel to try and "polish" both contact areas which did help, but I still wasn't 100% happy with it so it's out for good now. I'll be posting it for sale today, so if anyone wants a cheap GH bell crank just PM me
  9. Because this is the first time I've had a problem with a SS, it was fine on the stock set-up so can only be the heavy GH spring that's the problem. Once the new 1256 gear set arrives I'll strip the steering down and see what I can come up with
  10. Yes mate, I always set my servo savers at minimum and don't wind them up unless I'm getting that "floppy" wheel thing going on
  11. No mate I sold it a couple of weeks back, sorry.
  12. Jay Jay Jay, that's not what I wanted to here! Hmmm...plan B I guess. Does anybody know what plan B is..?
  13. I've not blown a BP diff yet...4S..6S...XL size and stock, they really seem to be Bullet Proof I ran my newly rebuilt Flux yesterday at Trent park with the rest of the NLB crew, it ran great on 4S with the new 1800kv (1518) motor..in fact it was hard getting the power down! All was well until a very long cartwheel, I tried to drove off but found I had no steering to the right, the gears in my Savox 1256 had stripped! I think the spring in the GH servo SAVER might be a little to hard So £28 later I have a new set of Ti gears coming from Fast Lad performance, but I'm going to swap that spring over to the stock one before the next run Other than that it ran like a charm, nothing fell off or came loose..even my tyres stayed on the rims!! Just got to paint the new shell now, not sure on colours yet though, I'm going to get all my paint cans out and just see where it leads
  14. Looking at my HPI manual, the top list is the right one (4 different sizes of bearings). However, it doesn't say how many of each bearing is needed! Fat lot of help that is
  15. No worries bud, glad you sorted it I don't run the Tie-rod brace, but I run Dejan's Bulkhead brace conversion, it's well worth the money
  16. @ martin34 - Yes the Edit braces should fit, but I can measure mine for you if you'd like, just to make sure?
  17. Well it's almost finished! I've ordered a shell from Wheelspin, and some 6.5 bullets so I can extend the motor wires a little, but that's it...done. I just bench tested it and everything worked as it should, so if the bullets arrive in time it'll have it's maiden voyage this Sunday with the rest of the NLB crew at Trent park
