Yeah the stock spur is steel,it looks like it's made from the same steel as the HD pinion and drive gear and has no signs of wear as yet. But saying that,i'm only using 2s at the mo and that could all change when I go to 3s. Judging by some of the threads I've read thru the gearbox is the weak link when the power is up-rated, so I may have to start buying the Hi wear items in bulk! You sounded like you enjoyed making your truck happen for sure,thats what made me wish I'd gone down the XL-Flux route myself so... I've ordered the DesertBoy XL TVP's from GCM along with a skid plate. I've also ordered some Gorilla snawt to use in the gearbox and diffs. Once I get all the parts together I'll post some pics of the build. I may even try to post a vid from my iphone if the quality isn't to bad. I cant see how I post pics/vids on here,do i need to become a "supporter" to do that?

Just the stock 44T spur...for now. So far the only weak points in the drive line have been the pinion and the drive gear in the gearbox. I was thinking about doing an XL to Flux convertion but it seemed to exspensive so I just got the Flux. But you've done a great job on yours,kind'a wish I'd gone that route now. I still want the "XL" size tho...I feel a build coming on LOL
