Finally going around to pulling the gearbox from one of my savages xs after loosing drive 

 

Found the pinion hear had come loose and ground itself down inside 

 

I have had this happen before where it slips down so I might need to cut a slot in the motor shaft to stop it happening again. 

 

A quick blast of brake cleaner and I will out a new a pinion on and it will be good to go once again 😁

 

Got another one to strip down and inspect the box too 😂

I bought yet another hpi savage xs off ebay 🤫

I can't resist a good bargain 

 

Was spares or repairs as they said it only worked in 2wd 🤔

 

Anyway fast foward a few days and it was delivered

A quick inspection found that a bolt had come out the rear drive cup 

 

A little visit to my spares box to fit a replacement, a little bit of lock tite and it was good to go 💪

 

Here's a little video of the Mrs giving it a shakedown 😁

 

Need to glue the front tyres as it spat a foam during a high speed run 😂

Abit different but got this running for my daughter, ripped out the old electrics and put in some hobby grade electrics 

Next job is to modify it and make it faster 😁

Took my kyosho inferno gt2 out for the first time in over a year 

Brand new shell 

 

Big car park and I still manged to hit a curb and flip it 😭😭

 

Scratched my new shell and broke a wheel

After putting out a post on Facebook,  I have hopefully managed to source one

 

Lets see if it turns up as you know what marketplace is like 😂😂

The tx/rx is common to several to several brannds, I have a Hobao using same tx.

Modelsport emailed to say no other etronix rx was compatible but surely there can't be that much difference in the et1106 software?

I have had this etronix EX3G 3ch fhss Et1105 steering wheel combo for years 

 

Unfortunately one of my cars set on fire a few years back and took the receiver with it 😭

 

I'm trying to find a replacement receiver but finding it difficult as it seems to have been superseded by a new model 

 

I contacted modelsport and they said they were unable to help and to their knowledge no other extonix recievers were compatible 

 

This is one of the best rx Tx combos I have had and I really want to use to rather than having a remote I can't use 

 

Please can anyone assist
