  1. Hi i have an NB16T. And the stock electrics it comes with are pretty poor. So iv'e been looking around for some higher spec servos, and a higher spec receiver. Does anyone no of any high-spec mini servos that would fit a 1/16th NB16T, Also a good recommendation for a receiver. many thanks
  2. cheers bud. Thanks for all the advice on the truggies nd stuff. Hong nor here we come
  3. sort of, well the rush evo is, just needs a few new diff gears, cuz the old ones are slipping. but they are cheap. The condor is a differnt story, i think i've left it un attended for a while, and its seized. it was my first car. back in the amatuer days. so will probably sell it for parts because it has seized ha.
  4. ok hong nor, thankyou much. btw if the rush evo and condor are not in great running condition, could i still get an alright price.
  5. yer the losi is also a good option, now crunch time, out of the three, i need help. one straight answer. thanks
  6. whats the point in putting 2.4 ghz, in a condor or rush evo. pretty poor nitro's for this day and age. thats why i need help finding a bloody new vehicle i skinned my options to hong nor, or hpi 4.6 for 200 around that if i can. spend 100 on upgrades. The thing is the hpi trophy appeals to me in some way, i mean so does the hong nor. but just not in the same way. (weird i know)
  7. no i havn't. havn't got round to investing in one yet. ha
  8. nick do you think the hpi trophy was a good buy, would you rather have got the hong nor
  9. one last question, is the hong nor high maintenance. i know all nitro is high maintenance but some can be more than others ow and you should probably use achrylic
  10. thanks for the advice. Just a small question which requires more maintenance. the trophy 4.6 or the hong nor. Also which is best for long leisure bashing fun. Aint looking for anything too serious. cheers for all the advice so far
  11. thanks, yer i've looked at a few and accumulated a list below http://www.modelsport.co.uk/index.php?CallFunction=ShowSpecification&ItemID=32468 good price, looks pretty solid http://www.modelsport.co.uk/index.php?CallFunction=ShowSpecification&ItemID=34949 yes its pricy, am loving the starter system and radio it uses. It is also very new and the manufacturer has a reliable palette, so could be an option obvioulsly the hong nor and hyper come into this list. also i have added this because http://www.modelsport.co.uk/?CallFunction=ShowSpecification&ItemID=33969 i just fu***** love the look of it (i need to express myself) also the engine has a good name-sake, and hpi seem to produce pretty sturdy, well-built vehicles i need views, thanks
  12. wow ye the hong nor looks great, also by the pictures looks like its very high quality. and would you say this is for the intermediate nitroer or like advance. I wouldn't mind stretching my boundries. Ha
  13. thanks, so hyper is basically the best truggy out there. I liked the look of the trophy 4.6. hpi, also, what are the comparisons with the hyper. thanks
  14. thanks, ye i'm thinking truggy. Which one is the new question. The hyper truggies are just a little bit out of my price range. Any other truggies i should look at using the criteria from the top. cheers
  15. Hello basically i'm looking to add to my metaphorical garage of nitro cars. And need some advice on choosing my fourth. I currently have hpi rush evo, acme condor pro. These are a bit past there sell-by date. And a NB16T however it has it's limits. So am looking for some advice for a good solid, Buggy, Truggy, Truck, nitro car. Criteria:
  16. I would go for the hpi trophy 4.6. Pretty good price. Great engine. Great manufacturer. And basic setup. Easy to run and maintain. Perfect
  17. also is it possible to go from using grease to oil, if so, is there a guide/tutorial. Because oil has a lower viscosity than grease it probably requires some sort of adjustment. many thanks
  18. thankyou but actualy, i think the main problem was that the nb16T comes stock with plastic diffs (shoked me when i saw) so i have ordered myself some metal diffs front and rear. But the problem is they use grease. So is there different grade grease. Problem some high qual stuff for performance and mainly to keep them maintained for longer.
  19. ye great tutorial. also if you have a low quality engine like the one in one of my cars your might need to seal the heatsink on to prevent air leaks (crazy i know) so use same concept with sealent and what not
  20. I recently had a similar problem on my NB16T, No fuel was getting to the engine. I checked for air-leaks. I found a severe one under the heat-sink. Because these engines are fairly low quality. I applied a quick fix which was to put a line of multi-purpose gasket sealent between the heat-sink and the engine block. This fixed the problem. Check the engine and carb for metal to metal air leaks. because these are sometimes hard to see
  21. To be honest i can get my head around all the factors of an rc nitro, apart from the differentials. I just need some help I got my NB16T out after a season off. And got the engine back to spec. But i noticed no power or tourque was reaching the front two wheels. I confidently presumed this was because the front differentials had worn and disintergrated over winter. The NB16T diffs i think use grease. I had never replaced it. So i ran it on two wheel drive for a bit and notice the loss of power to the rear wheels. So, again confidently presumed the diffs were worn. I checked everything from the clutch bell to the drive shafts but from there out power was being lost. Have ordered a new pair of front and rear diffs. so hope these last Questions. Are differentials meant to last can someone please tell me how to maintain them. How do you replace grease (fidely job i imagine) And how can you tell when you need to i.e. replace the grease. also if you were to leave them for a long period of time how would you preserve them. Kindest regards
