  1. Hello everyone, it's been a long time. But I finally dug all the old RC stuff out, dusted it off and hoping that all the Lipo batteries are still ok after about 5 years of storage. What are the chances they still work? Haha. Feel like I'm new to the hobby all over again. Feel like I can't remember a damn thing. I Decided it was about time to get back into it as life has moved on since 2014 and I now have a 5 year old daughter who seems keen to get into RC'ing. Have there been any massive changes in the last 5 years to the hobby or is it all just the cost of stuff coming down? Did LiFe batteries ever catch on? Do people still run brushed? What's the latest thing, last time I checked in short course trucks were all the rage. Glad to see some of the old members on here still from even back when I started in 2010. Steve

Forced induction does not work on a two stroke engine (although there are some exceptions). It does work to some extent with the correct exhaust setup as it creates enough back pressure to increase the pressure in the combustion chamber, hence tuned exhaust pipes :)

Not worth buying a super charger though.

best way to wreck the engine even faster because of over heating, because of overheating

  3. ive been using lipos for about a year and never noticed my charger charging to 8.40v :/ and i swear my charger only store charged at 6.80v befor aswell. i really dont get it. maybe ive just never noticed. or my memory has gone :S so confused. thanks
  4. my charger keeps over charging my lipo. instead of it charging to 7.40v it keeps charging to 8.40v when i do a discharge it dischages the lipo to just under 6.0v and when putting it into store mode it stores them at 7.6v :/ faulty charger? does it need re calibrating and if so how? or is it a faulty battery? whats your thoughts :/ im scared to try to charge my other lipos incase its going to mess them up. Cheers Steve
  5. crank sensor it was. all fixed. very happy, cost
  6. well, she has sailed through everyone of its MOT's no problem every year, its clean and tidy and doesn't seem to be any other issues. just a pain in the ****. oh well, these things happen i guess, tried jumping it the other day with my mums pug 3008, unfortunately the pugs battery was buried under the dashboard under 6 inches of plastic and fittings, the AA guy said alot of cars are becoming like this now. anyways its having new Crank sensors fitted today and hopefully that should sort the problem out. but my money is still on the ECU being the issue. but the diagnostic showed bad crank sensors :/ we'll see huh.
  7. well, it was an eventful friday the 13th, broke down twice in town,, the second time she broke down at a set of traffic lights and i needed to call out the AA and then had to take it all the way back to the place i bought it. only to be told the guy who is going to do the tech 2 diagnostic wont be there till tuesday. so rather than risk trying to drive it back home i left it there and was stuck in the middle of peteborough in the freezing cold till my good ol mum could pick me up. so no car for a while possible cam shaft sensor
