  1. I take it the vinyl will be black for your windows?
  2. Are you going for a V2 (raptor)? I'm gonna get a white one as well. Apparently you can buy spare proline raptor decal sheet, I just don't know where from.
  3. What decals does it come with? Do you know if you can buy the Proline Raptor decals separately from somewhere?
  4. That's why I'm thinking of getting the white version, few decals here and there, black windows out. Job done. Does anyone know where you can buy a spare proline raptor sticker set? Apparently you can buy them, just don't know where from!
  5. Only problem with a body wrap I can see is it's gonna scuff really easy then look like crap!
  6. What colour you going for? White?
  7. Looks nice, tempted to get one of these but in the new white colour.
  8. Can't go wrong with the Zippy 6200mah 40c, got 6 of them and all good!
  9. Cut out the plastic pole supports (as the holes don't quite match up) to make a nice flat surface, tiny bit of shoe goo to hold in place. Job done.
  10. Yes I like to keep an eye on the temps so will be interesting to see the difference. I'm currently running them at 6v and even at this voltage you can really feel the air being forced out of the heatsink now. Must be mental at 8.4v! lol
  11. I finally installed my 34x34x16mm fans (with a little modding) and they fit perfect using the 8S Velineon housing.I realise now how under powered the stock fans are now. These 34x34x16mm fans easily move twice the amount of air at the same voltage (6v). Massive difference. They sound really good as well, you get a proper whooshing noise! lol Sorted.
  12. Been wondering where that 'click' noise has been coming from. It's been bugging me for sometime. First time I've actually taken a diff of the truck which ain't bad going as I've been running it since Feb.LOL Actual diff itself is fine, just the differential ring gear and pinion is knackered (rear diff). Going to add a shim to tighten the gears when I repair it, which seems a common mod to do. Not bad going though for the abuse it's taken. Front diff is fine still!
  13. Yeah my mistake I meant 35mm. Just as well I ordered 2x of the 34mm Windy Trumpet Fans!
  14. If in doubt it's not hard to just measure them yourself!
  15. Dunno. I'm using the 8S Velineon fan housing. I know that's 30x30x10mm. The WTF fans run up to 24,000 rpm @8.4v! (although I'll be running them @6v which is 18,500 rpm)
  16. http://www.wildturbofan.com/shop--cart?f_checkoutResult=cancel If you will want the 30x30x10mm dual versions. Should fit perfect in the 8
  17. Yeah that's on 8S. Really depends on the terrain your running. It was OK on the road when but when driving through long grass temps went up beyond 180f (which is my limit) so I've geared back down to 21/50. I'm going try 22/50 next (when my pinion arrives). I'm also waiting on some dual Wild Turbo Fan's to arrive that create far more air than the standard traxxas fans so should cool much better. Another thing I will do whilst I'll have all the motor out is take off the heatsink and apply some thermal compound under it. Plus I'm waiting on my titanium bolts to arrive that I'm swapping out for the standard steel bolts to go in my bandlands that should reduce the weight my a considerable margin which again will help with temps. I will be doing some tests and I'll let you know my findings as I go.
  18. Switched it over to 20/46 (GDS hardened) today. Seems to be liking it so far!
  19. Yeah true although I'll be swapping out all 160 bolts for titanium versions soon. Just as well I've got a good drill! LOL
  20. Cheers, I prefer them their natural colour to be fair. Plus orange is not my only colour, my next body is going to be flourescent green! lol
  21. In fact saying nearly on par is being generous. I'd say it's quite a bit weaker. After more bashing the proline has got all sorts of tears in it, although I repair it as I go with shoegoe. The cab seems the weakest area, overall it just flexes more than the stock. I've actually ordered a new clear stock shell today. After looking at my original shell I can clearly see why it's stronger as there are a lot more ribs in the cab and front which gives it so much more strength. I've bashed it way more hard and it's just the rear of the stock shell that's totally wrecked on mine (rest of it is perfect still), although that won't happen any more as my roll cage totally reinforces the rear end now.
  22. Body is nearly on par with the stocker. I still think the stock shell is slightly stronger. I'll be getting a clear stock shell next. On a side note absolutely love the Badlands, handles so much better than the stock 8S tires. One little mod I'm going to do with them is swap the bolts for titanium versions. Not the cheapest route but should cut down on the weight by a considerable margin whilst not compromising on strength.
