  1. OH yes it's electric, perhaps I forgot to mention that! Thankyou for your replies I'm getting educated slowly but surely. So If I change the moter , silly question but why do I have to change the electrnic spped control? How much do they cost and where do you get them from? So whats the advantages with brushless or just a lower wound/turned motor ? And do you have to upgrade standard batteries if motors are upgraded? I'll have a look at your links now cheers. Stratmast3r- Me and my lad have seen your videos on you tube, cool. Thanks
  2. P.S I hope i'm in the right section of the forum to discuss my queries?? Is this ok , or should I be in the general electric enquiries?
  3. Well I suppose we haven't ran it in yet. It's only had 10 minutes use so far. I've trimmed the throttle and steering responses down for now until he gets used to it. The reason I wasasking about tuning it for power/speed is because I may have to get myself on enow!haha Unless you forum members can suggest a different off roader electric car to start with at such good value? Many thanks
  4. Hi, firstly I'd like to say what a great site/forum. I've just signed up because I've uumm I mean my step son has just been bought a new Maverick Strada MT for his birthday. We took it out fore the first time today. Though a great bit of kit and great value. I was wondering about what essential upgrades to carry out? A bit more performance (power/spped) would be nice! We only have tricke charger at the mo' but I'll obviously be getting a fast chargre. I've been reading lots about motors/gearing and batteries and have become a bit confused. I'd still like it to be reliable. What's the firts thing to tweak/tune in all your opinion??? Many Thanks Lee
