  1. hey folks, PRICES UPDATED everything listed includes postage, for sale i have the following... 8 savage used savage shocks. 4 are straight 2 are slightly bent and 2 are bent. they still work though and would be an ideal spare. the picture shows them in bits because i have just cleaned them but they will come assembled.
  2. I have sent payment as requested. sorry for the delay. can you send me the tracking number please.
  3. ive been looking forward to seeing AVATAR all year, cant wait :D

  4. hello folks,

my name is luke taylor and i have recently graduated from university and im taking up RC as a hobby again. i heard this was a pretty good site from a friend so here i am. no guru in RC but like to think im competent enough to help with most problems so give me a shout if you need a hand:D

  5. you could always get some cen genesis/gst shocks. they lower the ride height slightly. they are threaded and alloy. over on the savage central forum they seem to be a very popular mod to do to savages. most people that are going to race their savage only use 4 CEN shocks and its plenty enough dampening as they are a bigger bore than the savage ones. i bought a set of 8 a while ago and ive only used 4. no problems at all. they are bit pricey though. if your interested in them i could maybe sort you with a brand new set of 4 for either money or savage upgrades.
  6. if you decide to split id be interested in the radio gear alone. cheers
  7. hi peeps, this may seem a daft question and i dont want to start a row about anything im just curious why the engines cost so much. arent they just like mini moto engines? I appreciate they are tuned up all sweet but they still seem a lot. could you not put dual nitro engines in? again im not trying to start a petrol vs nitro war im just curious... cheers chaps
  8. 40mph isnt a bad stock speed especially given the size of them things but i agree in that they appear slower. I think its the acceleration that gives the feel of speed in rc cars even if they top out at relatively low speeds. I used to be all about top speed when i was younger but i have since realised, what good is a shocking top end if all you cna do is go in straight lines all the time. at least around 40 you can corner. just my 2 cents (this was not a dig at any one before i get moaned at)
  9. i have built a fair few rc10's in my time and they have all been really good little things to work on. as mentioned above though be careful of what wheel nuts you use. also bear in mind they use imperial not metric screws.only use imperial drivers, if you start jamming things in that look like they fit you will round out your screws very quickly. remember to lube, oil and grease everything well. but there is such a thing as too much grease. i bash rather than race so i tend to put a little more in my gear boxes than manuals suggest. hope this helps
  10. Hello Folks, Up for sale is my Advent 4490 Netbook. Its an awesome little thing that I used when i was studying in uni but I have graduated now so it is surplus to requirements. It has a fresh windows 7 install on it as well as office 07. These are genuine so you will be able to receive all the updates with no problems. I havent installed anything else on it in case the buyer doesn't want it. If the buyer wants I can go through and tune and tweak it to run faster and such. I can also install all the flash, java and better web browsers at buyers request free of charge As for hardware it has the intel Atom processor which features hyper threading and runs at 1.6ghz. ive upgraded the memory to 2gb with a PNY RAM stick (PNY are better than the generic crap that get put in laptops). 120gb hard drive, wireless card, webcam, microphone, very good battery life (2-3hours depending on what your doing). I have played the game spore on this laptop and it ran fine but to be fair lagged when lots of things blew up on screen). I got this for £200 around march when at uni as my ACER laptop fried so its not very old and still has all the box and manuals. Id be happy to answer any questions you may have. My ebay name is luket662 and my maxbashing forum name is luke662 so you can check my feedback wherever you like. I'd like £140 for this but im open to very sensible offers. I only post by recorded delivery to ensure safe transit of my items. cheers luke

  12. you could go with some cen GST wheels. they are 23mm hex and are about the biggest ive seen. if you want big you could also go with some jumbo kongs but ive heard they are crap....but big
  13. its not actually the gears that are titanium its the shafts that go inside the gears. as for price its... 29.44 for the idler shaft (apex price) 29.44 for the drive shaft(apex price) 22.49 for the gear shaft (ebay price) I haven't broken them nor do i think i ever will I'm just curious of the performance gain with these.
  14. Hey folks, I'm new to this forum but so far it seems very helpful I was wondering if any one has had experience with the titanium transmission option parts for the savage. these being the following... Titanium drive shaftTitanium gear shaftTitanium idler shaft they boast 40% weight saving over stock which is very good but I wonder if they make a great deal of difference? rather than gearing down for acceleration and loosing top end I was thinking perhaps I could get these to retain the top end and increase acceleration. they do come with hefty price tags though. I'd appreciate any feedback
