The drive shafts are fine, when i lift it in the air and rev it i have drve to all four wheels when i put on the ground i loose drive to the rear wheels but i can see the centre rear shaft spinning so it has to be some fault in the rear diff end surely?

I have checked the bevel gear and this seems fine,so i opened up the diff and all the little gears inside looked fine, how ever the grub screw part number Z721 that goes through the side of the diff housing is not there. Would this cause it to loose drive? Please someone help it's driving me mad just want to get out and bash it.

How can i tell if the bevel gear has gone?What damage should i be looking for?

cheers for that il strip it down tomorow and check the screw pin on the rear diff, the gear box ones fine i checked that one earlier.when holding it in the air and revving it both centre dog bones spin round fine.

Can any one help please? I took my savage out today and ive lost drive to the rear wheels, it was fine last time i took it out. when i hold the truck in the air and accelarate all foor wheels spin and seems fine. The minute i put it on the floor it looses drive to the rear wheels. I have checked the centre dogbones and they seem fine. What else could it be?

I want to up grade the engine in my savage x4.6. Basically which one out of the above two engines would be better and why? I want something which will be able to wheely on command . Cheers for your help.

Have you tried loosening the glow plug slightly so you can start it and then tighting the glow plug up properly yo run it in.

i know my car isnt a e10, but i locked the diffs on my tb03d and it made it easier to control and maintain the diffs and made it spin out less.

savage x 4.6need some help guys. whats the easiest way to remove the centre dogbones on a savage as i have destroyed the front one? also can the gear box be removed without taking the engine out? cheers for your help?
