  1. I bought the Dragon Hammer, mostly because I wanted to see what it was all about.. Some say it's not available, it's been available for months. On the Clone debate, there is no cloning here, the Vekta is different than the Dragon Hammer in many ways, only the concept of solid rear axle is the same. DH photos were released to the public about 4 months before the Vekta information was released so FID copying this particular product is a non topic.. As for afterthought layout, the DH layout is not bad at all.. I honestly think people need to reserve judgement on either one of these until they own them, the DH is very nice and I'm sure the Vekta will be equally nice.. I did notice in a video that Kraken put out that removing the engine is more work than what I have experienced with the DH.. As for where they are made, I think you are going to find they are both made in Asia, one in China and the other we will find out when people get their buggies and read country of origin on the box. One has a centre diff, one doesn't One has a slipper clutch, one doesn't One comes with a crazy amount of aluminium, one doesn't It really boils down to what a person wants and likes, I don't think people should choose one just because they think it's made in the USA or choose one just because it's full of aluminium, they really need to do their homework and not just take a guess, guessing can be costly.. I was never a fan of FID but the Dragon Hammer still seems like a very nice model and as soon as rainy season has ended I will be able to get the DH out and have some fun with it. Cheers, C.
  2. Thanks for the plug guys.. We are very fortunate to have happy customers that support Vertigo and I think you will be just as happy as they others. Cheers,
  3. Thanks Dirty, When it comes to O rings there are literally millions made a month of the size O rings we use. There is no doubt of those millions some are flawed and there is no doubt that we will end up with one every so often.. We have been lucky however that over the several thousand O rings we have purchased we have had very few not do their job..
  4. I am fine thank you, I need to really find time to get to more forums. There are 6 I need to frequent, barely have time for the 3 I have been frequenting.. I feel like I am not supporting people when I can't make to these forums!! Cheers,
  5. Time to bring this topic to the top. I know I don't post here, I barely have time to post on the 2 (sometimes a third) forum.. I was doing some reading today, it is nice to see this forum still going strong.. While reading this thread I see I had posted about the cliples shafts and someone wondering why they never took off.. I just want to say they not only took off but are already catching some of our top selling products in mere couple of months of just being on the market.. True, we did release them a year ago, only in small insubstantial quantities and never fully released them until just recently. Cheers,
  6. Axle are at least a month away and the extenders you have there don't affect the RPM arms.
  7. the fronts are adjustable. Insall them now with your stock rear hubs. Then in about a minute you can pull the hubs off and put the wider hubs on then back at 'er
  8. I have no issues, it is always good as a manufacture to see reviews good and bad about our products, we can't improve them otherwise. To date however we have had 2 unfavourable reviews, both were consumers who started making products and had bought our product before moving onto their own.
  9. Thanks, Hyper, I am a hobbiest as much as I run a company. I have been in the hobby a very long time, 27 years this march.. I have bent, broke, burnt, melted and sank many models LOL!! And each time I think I learnt something, however it didn't stop me from doing it again!!
  10. Thanks for the support T.. I will try and get to this forum more, I only go to a couple, not a lot of time to do so.. but this forum seems friendly
  11. Thanks T.. Actually we posted the idea up but just didn't do anything with it.. I also appreciate your kind words and that you saw through the crud back then.. thank you. I see you have 8,000,000 posts.. are you mod or a owner?
  12. It isn't that it never took off. We made prototypes of which one set has been in use since the summer of '08 We just didn't produce them because we didn't want to produce a product that could damage the front end of someones car in a hit. Now people seem to want this part so we will put it into production Boltless meaning it slides in from the rear of the knuckle, there is no clip or bolt holding it on. The pins don't need a set screw, the wheel keeps them in place as they have on our front and rear extenders for the past 3 or 4 years
  13. These will be the options Front axle extenders will come with aluminium clip on axles VPP1621PT $35usd and full extender kits with Ali clip on axles VPP1619PT $55usd Fronts kit made with steel axle and Ali hubs $35.00usd Steel Axles themselves for those wanting to replace the Ali axles they currently have $15usd
  14. I thought I would post this up here since we are talking about E clips. We had posted this on 5thscaleracingforum about a year and a half ago and didn't get a response, we would now like to bring it back to the forefront. We have been getting emails regarding this set up. This is a clipless boltless sytem that won't bend or get ripped out in a solid hit, we opted for steel for fear aluminium would bend in a hit when solid mounted.. Once the axle was bent you wouldn't be able to remove it from the steering knuckle. We don't usually bring our ideas to the forums first, in this case we thought we should. We look forward to thoughts from the members. This axle would replace the existing aluminium axle in our set up. This concept also allows use of the RPM A-arms. Mradlin who some of you might know has been running these on his buggy since July 2008. We would make the part available to those who have the aluminium axle and make an extender kit with the steel axle as well. Savage Rage, If it isn't too much of a bother, would you mind directing me to those reviews? We have ever only had one customer talk about pin issues which was resolved in the end, it would be nice to see what people are saying. I can be contacted at [email protected] Thank you, Clayton Vertigo Performance Products Monster Lockers
