  1. After months in bits with a broken body, i eventually got around to ordering the crash kit. 30 mins later and i managed to re wire all motors and fit new body. very pleased with my performance. Even more so when i turned it on and it flew! so dont be afraid - they are easy to fix. It amazes me how small they are, the circuit board was tiny!
  2. I have a mini E-revo sitting collecting dust so i think it is best if i sell it so someone else can have some fun with it. It has loads of modifications, alot of which i can't remember. New chassis - Rit dyed black Knuckles - Rit dyed black. Bearings all round Flightmax lipos x 2 1 x Nimh Series and parallel connectors Bead lock rims, pro line tyres new traxxas push rods, arms New shocks ( not in picture) Ez run ESC ( not in picture) (The original ESC had a slight fire!) HR knuckels HR steering arm metal ball joints hitec servo The car runs fine, but just needs some expert set up to drive straight, ( as i am no expert) I do also have a lipo charger. I have spent a fortune on all of this kit, but i would be willing let it all go for
  3. Hi all, it appears that one of the props is binding? When you power off you can see its stops rotating quickly. Can this be solved or is It a motor replacemt ?
  4. Getting the hang of it now...it is bloody awesome, flying up and down living room and around house. Amazing fun for
  5. Ok thanks guys...advice taken...no flying near sinks and must start off on flat surface. The cat is freaking out...it went to have a sniff and i gave it a bit of throttle..hehe! The camera version looks amazing! Are women better at flying these due to their multi tasking skills?
  6. You got it! One of the props kept coming off, so I went to the spares and put another black one on, and then spent my entire day struggling...then read the last page and realised I had 2 x A props on...numpty! I can now fly and trim it, but it will take some practice to master it. I can operate the elevator/aileron and also throttle but having to go to the 4th ch (rudder) will take some practice! As for the calibration I have managed it once were the lights have flashed. But after my last switch on it seemed ok so I guess you don't have to do this each time. Moto of the story is dont be like me and just get out of box without fully reading the instructions!
  7. Disappointing day for me with the husban. Stuggled to control it, cannot calibrate. So it doesn't even lift off ground and will just spin around. It's like the props are all out of sync. The instructions are very hard to follow for a novice!
  8. Just had demo in model shop....that was enough for me, amazing little thing! I believe a crash kit is
  9. I had the silver springs in the back - trying to remove them was hard work i nearly lost my finger nails! bronze springs in the front. I have changed to the black springs and it has transformed the car, a bit of sag at the back and the front seems quite firm but alot better. I have the 45wt oil in the shock - i muts admit that i dont see alot of damping. I do have some 100wt diff lube - would that work, but it is really viscous!
  10. thanks for the replies! i do have the jconcepts and similar tyres so i will have a fiddle with my suspension and see how it goes. i think you are right, currently it is set too firm. but it is a shame that you cannot lower the suspension height and keep the firm.
  11. Hi I have eventually got the e revo running again and have added some GPM shocks hoping that the handling would improve, but i have to say the handling is awful. the shocks came with 3 springs, i have put the strongest springs on so the back does not sag, but the car just appears to tip over on tarmac in an instant even at low speed. I am no expert and the set up of cars so i would appreciate some advice. i have been looking at the mini 8's and have seen some indoor footage of them being raced, it was like they were on rails - this is far from my e revo's handling!
  12. hi Can i ask how you guys mount this ESC, do you use cable ties or strong double sided ahesive buds? I have seen some posts where ties are used but it has a fan mounted on the top, so if i use a cable tie this could obstruct the fan?
  13. I am a numpty and a novice Got a bit muddled up on process....car went crazy in my hands = 8 major friction burns and 2 deep cuts from gear Lesson from this , mount on box and not hold in hand. I have a pissng major burn on arm, those bowlines tyres are well grippy. But I did then reset again and followed process but it is still not right. Once I have located esc and on/off switch with sticky pads I will try it again. But I may look into spectrum? Is that the one I need?
