  1. I don't really like Align, and I think some of the Metals they use are terrible. The 3Gx is also the worst of the FBL brains IMO. I use the BeastX and VBar. First 450.. Try the Gaui X4. I have the bigger Brother, the Gaui X5, and the build quality and electronics are way ahead of anything from Align. I have only owned 2 Align birds and wasn't too impressed (450 Pro, 550efl).
  2. I'd just buy a DX6i as they can be bought brand new for just over a Days wage. Wouldn't want to fly my Gaui X5, or Synergy E5 with this junk and endanger the public domain in the process. One thing I was taught when I first started, is to "Buy the best you can afford". It will last for your career. If you're into just flying Blade junk, this option above might be OK. I'll just stick to my DX8.
  3. Replied... Will update the thread with an image of the extras when I return home. Extras include; Spare original Black shell, various Traxxas spares, box, and MSUK receipt. Edit; Images updated. For the person who asked- It comes with transmitter (TQ Link), original box with protective packing still inside, and everything pictured (T bone, Wheelspin, RPM, Rc bearings, Traxxas, and lots of other decals).
  4. Gaui x5 or Mikado 400.. Much better than Align. I've had many, but would never get rid of the X5 FES.
  5. SOLD) Traxxas Rustler VXL for sale; With various hop ups like, TRX Aluminium links, Casters, RPM Arms and bumper, T bone wheelie bar, Hpi Geolanders, custom fx shell, spare original Black shell (worn), 2s Lipo, box, receipt and decals. Well maintained, lubricated, and had lots of TLC.. Never heavily bashed and only run on 2S.
  6. Gaui is in a different league to Trex, as it uses decent electronics like the BeastX. The Gaui is also much lighter and therefore more agile. I think stock Trex electronics aren't upto much, particularly the 3Gx. Here is a better image showing its actual size (550). Sent from my E10i using Tapatalk
  7. Wow.., it's still very quiet here. I've since ditched Walkera and blade junk, and wasn't really interested in the Ford of Birds (Align) that every Man and His Dog seem to own. Alas, the Gaui X5 FES 9/10 people said this is better than any Trex 550 hands down... So Sent from my E10i using Tapatalk
  8. Wk UFO #8 Loads of fun for when I fancy a CP break. Sent from my E10i using Tapatalk
  9. This is no doubt my final post on here, as discussion is stagnant. I've moved onto pastures new. Christmas present from my Fiancee.. The Genius CP Happy flying, and bon voyage.
  10. Another for the hangar... Sent from my E10i using Tapatalk
  11. I think the best bet to gee up Hpi into putting these shells into production would be to eMail them. If they receive enough interest, i'd imagine they would quickly manufacture them. As they're not already in production, though, I wonder if they ever will be. How long has the latest. Firestorm flux been in production? Anybody know? Sent from my E10i using Tapatalk
  12. Thanks for the offer, Rat, but my friend is just looking for duplicates of the above pictured shells. Sent from my E10i using Tapatalk
  13. An eMail from Hpi was words to this effect; The shells aren't in production, and there's no set date for the manufacturing of them. So I guess my friend will have to settle for the archaic ugly Red or Blue version. Sent from my E10i using Tapatalk
  14. OK, thanks for that. As a last resort, I shall eMail Hpi and ask them. Seems strange that this truck has been out for a good while, yet there's no sign of replacement shells. Thanks Sent from my E10i using Tapatalk
  15. Thanks for the reply, but those shells are the older type. I'm after the part # of one or both of the shells pictured. Anyone got one of these, as the part reference might be shown on the exploded view in the manual? Thanks Sent from my E10i using Tapatalk
  16. Does anyone know if this new shell is available seperately, or does it only come bundled with the new truck? If it's available, does anyone know the relevant Hpi part #? Cheers
  17. Don't know if you know, but they can be bought brand new for about a days wage from Heliguy. There's one on eBay, but it will need to have most of the cnc bling removed, excluding the paddle control frame, to fly well IMO. Although it's not on a " Buy it now " listing, there's no harm in asking if the seller will take it off and sell it you. I've done this many times, and 7/10 times they've honoured it. Here is the listing- http://www.ebay.co.u...=item43ab04e8eb Sent from my E10i using Tapatalk
  18. Esky electronics are now fine IMO. I've had nil problems with my Honeybee and Lama v4 and they've seen many lipo cycles. Like Eflite, Esky electronics are manufactured in China, so the occasional pos hits the consumer market. Esky have come a long way, and that's why the Honeybee is arguably the best selling FP trainer. Sent from my E10i using Tapatalk
  19. The Honeybee uses a 90 Deg flybar and requires skill to fly. It's a 300 size iirc. The 120sr is a 120 size heli and uses a 45 Deg flybar and requires no skill to fly IMO. Sent from my E10i using Tapatalk
  20. Good choice. The Honeybee will teach you how to fly, whereas a 120sr will teach you very little. The Blade is self stabilising, the Hbfpv2 requires constant cyclic input. Sent from my E10i using Tapatalk
  21. The Honeybee is a blast to work on when crashed, but has a floaty and laggy response in flight, I think. I still have mine that I bought from Heliguy. Joel has an offer on these at
  22. Which one bud, the Genius? Sent from my E10i using Tapatalk
  23. Yeah, I do have a soft spot for Walkera cosmetics. Got my eye on a Genius CP next but really must make it my final buy as i'm literally out of room. It's getting like steptoes yard in here. Lol. :-D Sent from my E10i using Tapatalk
