  1. Thanks Trooper, I see you have 2 TRX RC's. Maybe you should get a third!! lol
  2. Thank calum! You should def get a MERV, great fun little RC's. Take it anywhere, crack it out & bash away!! Make a great little racer too, if you have somewhere to race. Man, that's one good looking Baja!! Jealous not much!!
  3. Sweet dude, looking good!! That Ansmann Tx looks pretty good. Nice when you can suss something on your own. Let us know how it works for ya mate!
  4. Good choice with JC 'locks!! As for the CVD's I got them here- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Traxxas-7151X-Steel-CVD-DriveShaft-4-MINI-REVO_W0QQitemZ390092632908QQcmdZViewItemQQptZRadio_Control_Parts_Accessories?hash=item5ad355334c&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1262#ht_1249wt_837 Another place I use regularly if I can't get things from thetoyz, great shipping rates. You could wait for thetoyz to got them back in stock, they do restock pretty quickly.
  5. Thanks jammi! the JC 'lock are great IMO. A lot of other people agree with me, that's why JC have re-released them specifically for the Mini E-Revo. I can't stop putting money into my MERV, and this little truck IS big to me as the only other trucks I own are 1/18 & 1/36. I would love a larger scale truck, maybe a big brother to my MERV or I've always had a thing for the Savage & the LST. But hey, I'm happy with what I've got at the moment!! OMG! I would SO Love to own a Baja!!!!!!!!
  6. These trucks are well known for running hot in the US, look here- http://monster.traxxas.com/forumdisplay.php?f=71 There's plenty of talk about over heating issues and the dreaded Thermal Cut Out. My temps are way below what has been the norm in the US, besides I have a 1/10 Sidewinder coming! Should cool things down! As for the weight, these trucks are torquey and fast so a little more weight is not a bad thing!! I am happy with the way my MERV handles and that's down to the shock upgrades I have made, the wider stance of the truck and extra weight the wheels have added.
  7. 23t speed pinion, fan on ESC and 2x 3Racing Heat Sinks on the stock motor. 114 f on the motor and 104f on the ESC and that's on 3s!! That's after a 15 minute bash! Plus I'm waiting patiently for my 1/10 Sidewinder!
  8. A little weight is no bad thing on a mini e-revo!! They're pretty light IMO and the added weight & wider stance has increased stability significantly. But hey, your entitled to your opinion!!
  9. Glad to hear it wasn't to serious! I have a lot of spare parts, just in case!! A great place for spares is eBay. There are some good international eBay sellers with reasonable shipping charges, the toyz, toads toyz, mark twain hobby centre etc. There are also a lot of places stripping brand new MERV's down for parts (makes more money) but they're still reasonably priced, both for the part and shipping. I make smaller orders to avoid UK Customs charges, anything under
  10. Have you stripped the bulkheads, cleaned & re greased the F&R ring & pinion? If not check your F&R Diffs for grit around the pinion & ring mesh. Also have you ever stripped your diffs? To install the TRX CVD's you have to de assemble the entire differential and guess what? No diff oil!! No problem as I have a whole box of spares and alike, but still Traxxas wanna sort their QA!! Hopefully it's something minor though like the pinion & spur mesh. I did have a slight clicking on one of my bashing sessions, decided to pack it up and go home to investigate. Pick up my MERV, pulled the trigger, it clicked a couple more times and then cleared it's self. RESULT!!
  11. Cheers guys and no sorry hazza no sale!! I love my truck just too much!!
  12. you should definitely get one TiM!, you won't regret it!!
  13. Here you go- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LOSI-MICRO-T-BODY-CLEAR-INCLUDING-STICKERS-AB1543_W0QQitemZ370255436805QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN?hash=item5634f19c05&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14#ht_500wt_891 or go to their website and phone them if you don't do ebay! - http://www.rcpitstop.co.uk/ EDIT: sorry just reread that and realised you were after a ram body, still give them a try though!!
  14. I don't know about Mini Inferno wheels but Mini LST wheels fit with a little modding. MLST Hex's fit fine but you'll need to bore or drill out the mount hole to fit them on your MERV. Mini LST wheels are cheap too and you'll get about 1/4 inch wider stance each side.
  15. I have the CD, just forgot to mention it as I haven't installed it. I still Love doing wheelies!! I haven't found any good quality velcro, any ideas? The JC Tense wheels were $47.99 (£30) and the Proline Bow-Ties were $21.98($10.99 Pair) (£14.00) and then shipping. They are great though and no more gluing! I got them from A Main Hobbies but the shipping from them is killer, try www.thetoyz.com Great shipping prices and if you join and place the order while signed in you get 10% off your first order.
  16. Yes they'll fit your DT and I think threaded are worth while. Go for ones with Rear CVD's. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Losi-Micro-T-Titianium-CV-Driveshaft-Threaded-Axle-CVD_W0QQitemZ230360578058QQcmdZViewItemQQptZRadio_Control_Parts_Accessories?hash=item35a28f780a&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14#ht_1914wt_939
  17. Hello, I'm new to this forum, I have posted a couple of times but this is my first new topic. Been into RC for a couple of years now and this is my current project and bash RC. I would love to get into racing but there's nothing local, well nothing I'm interested in!! I imported my MERV (Mini E-Revo VXL) from the US back in June when they were first released over there, all I can say is I'm impatient. lol They're fantastic trucks, really fast, strong and great fun. She's got quite a few Hop-Ups so far, so here she is- So far the upgrades are- TRX Aluminium Hex's, TRX GTR Anodized Aluminium Shock Bodies, TRX 2.22 Black springs (Rear w/ 80wt) & 2.02 Tan springs (Front w/ 50wt), TRX Red Aluminium Push Rods, TRX Red Aluminium Toe Links, TRX Rocker Bearings, TRX Steering BellCrank Bearings, Hot Racing Red Aluminium Shock Cap Kit, STRC Red Aluminium Motor Plate & Motor Mount, J Concepts 2.2 Tense Beadlocks w/ Proline Bow-Tie 2.2 Rear Buggy Tyres, a Hitec HS 85MG Servo, 2x Hyperion G3 CX 2s 1600 mah & 1x 3s 1600 mah and Spektrum DX3R. And a lot of spare parts. Since these pictures were taken I've installed TRX Steel Constant Velocity Driveshafts, TRX Hollow Steel Balls and a Hopper Wheelie Bar. I also have some more parts on the way including TRX Anaconda 2.2 Rear Buggy Tyres, TRX Teflon Washers,TRX 1/16 Black E-Revo body, 1/10 Castle Creations Sidewinder ESC and a Motor Heat Sink w/ Fan. Quite an extensive list but most of them have made a difference to the performance of this sweet little truck. Now don't get me wrong it's a great little truck stock but it does need a few tweaks to get the best out of it. If someone wanted advice on what to get when buying a MERV, I'd have to say Shocks would be the first upgrade as they're really squidgy. TRX Aluminium Bodies, HR Aluminium Cap & Retainer Kit, TRX Springs and some thicker shock oil. Also go LiPo, those TRX packs; slow to charge, quick to run down!! The Hyperion G3 CX & VX are great Lipo's and the Flightmax Zippy's are real popular too, don't forgot a good quality LiPo Charger too. Then some spare parts, A-Arms, Knuckles, Bulk Heads and a Slipper Clutch. I'll update as and when I upgrade and if you have any ?'s please feel free to ask away, Thanks for your time everybody!!
  18. Get yourself some softer springs, those yellow GPM are a little stiff. I'd say silver front and green rear. Will lower your CoG. They're sweet little trucks man.
  19. Hi mate, as you recommended I joined and I can answer this too! Yes, you can run the stock motors & ESC on Lipo's. After all, the Losi Mini Monster Baja did and now the Losi Mini LST2 Limited Edition does. Don't forget you'll need an external Low Voltage Cut Off or a Low Voltage Alarm unless you use Losi's own Lipo's which have a LVC built in. Hope that helps!!
  20. I love this body, should help with the temps too! But then so will my 1/10 Sidewinder ESC when it turns up!! I don't mind the wheels but I prefer my J Concepts Tense 'locks!!
