  1. It's not me who needs to get my finger out, it's Youtube. For some reason the uploads are mega slow, so slow it's pointless. My upload rate is the same as always so it's definitely Youtube.
  2. My car is sitting in it's own dirt for tonight. I'll clean it tomorrow when the aching eases a bit. lol
  3. Good days bashing today lads. Thanks for the shock mount Dave. Can't believe I broke it before getting through even half a tank of fuel. Got some video and will edit and upload it shortly.
  4. Not cleaning the car is a good way of reducing the lifetime of parts. You should definitely clean the car and pay attention to bearings especially. Clean them and re-lube them.
  5. Think my brother in law is coming along again today. Not sure if he's bringing his Baja again, but if he is he'd best check his wheel nuts are tight this time and avoid jumping it. lol
  6. Ideally the motor should be no hotter than about 70
  7. I race a T2 008 with the Fusion exceed 10.5 brushless system. As for what size pinion, well that depends where your running it. For Ardent Raceway I use a 23t pinion with the 78t spur gear. A smaller, tighter track you would want to lower the gearing. The idea being that you want to be hitting top speed 2 3rd's of the way down the main straight.
  8. Don't charge at over 1c, in this case 1100mah.
  9. Gear Chart - select your car and enter the spur gear size (number of teeth) and it will create a chart showing what pinion you want. Depending on where your running you'll need to work out what FDR (final drive ratio) you want, which is a matter of experiment or asking someone who is already set up perfectly. When your racing you ideally want your car hitting top speed 2 3rd's of the way down the main straight.

    royal mail

Royal Mail is just totally messed up everywhere. We lost our sorting office last year and everything moved to Warrington. Now mail takes about 3 weeks at minimum to get to us and I'm not exaggerating in the slightest. The service is disgusting. I ordered a new drive belt last Friday evening from Demon and it was sent out last Saturday. I'm still waiting for it. What I have noticed though is if something is tracked it arrives quickly whereas normal post takes forever. So it's blatantly obvious they are performing for what can be tracked and neglecting everything else. The situation is going to get much worse for everyone as well. Royal Mail are planning to close all sorting offices and running their entire operation from 5 regional super sorting offices. All I can say is what used to be an organisation that was was envied around the world is now an utter disgrace and a good example of how not to run a postal service.
  11. I use the 2s Demon ones and they're great.
  12. Can't make it tomorrow as I'm having meetings concerning the building of a national quality off road track. It's going to be one of the best tracks in the country and only the 2nd to have full wheelchair access to the rostrum. Everything is still at the early stages, but it all looks very good indeed. Will be out on Sunday though as long as the weather is kind.
  13. As long as the weathers nice I shall hopefully be running.
  14. My tyres are also always holed, but running on the beach last year they got sand packed into the holes along with the water. Generally running on tracks and fields the hole method works well. But, water repelling inserts would be good as long as they still do a good job, which no doubt they will.
  15. It's down to downforce generated by the body shape. The body position on the car will also affect it.
  16. Last year at the Fraisthorpe Beach bash my foams soaked up a load of water and by the end of the day they were causing horrific wheel wobble and the tyres were starting to tear away from the wheels! Water and foams do not mix.
  17. I'm not saying that brake cleaner isn't any good, just that the effective lifespan of the tyre is reduced. Chris and the other top drivers either have their tyres supplied or can afford to use a few sets each meeting. many people, myself included cannot afford to do so at
  18. It cleans the tyres really well, but reduces their effective lifespan. I can't afford to replace my tyres as often as I really should be doing, so need each set to last as long as they can.
  19. Insurance is only so expensive here because the law says we have to have it. I know people abroad, where insurance isn't compulsory and they pay a tiny amount even when accident rates and crime rates are higher. My first car was a Datsun 160b and my fully comp insurance cost me
  20. I haven't got any money to put any fuel in the car and only got enough fuel left to get to the petrol station. Really ****** off as I want to run and all I've got close enough is a flat field.
  21. It isn't going to flood at Fenton though as it's too high. The puddle on the track won't be any worse than usual. If someone can take along a brush to to get rid of the puddles then I can't see there being any problems.
