  1. Its the start of the winter series at my club Is there any help and tips you could give as im only used to racing outside. The track is in a gym so very smooth floor everyone uses minipins as even slicks dont grip. what are the best setups ie gearing as its tight narrow tracks and not many long runs any help and advice grateful to give me an edge. BTW i have a TT-o1 before you ask Cheers Jason
  2. Do I not need to match the pinion to the spur gear? And how many toothed pinion and spur is best as there is lots to choose from
  3. My son decided to strip down his TT-01e and didnt put the correct screws in and screwed acouple in where he should in the gear casing so where the screws been protruding through it has TOTALLY knackered the spur gear and i think the pinion has had it aswell! What is going to be the best to replace it with? Will it be best to put the standard ones back in or different toothed ones ,If so which ones .He is still a novice and as winter is setting in racing will mainly be indoors so space is getting more limited .Whats going to be an ideal happy medium for him in ways of speed and acceleration Cheers
  4. Swearing was involved !No they didnt come off intact and even more swearing when the missus caught me with the best pan on the boil with wheels in it!!!!! ] Should of just brought new ones in the first place
  5. I'll give it a go as the missus is out so i shouldn't get an earful for using her pans
  6. How can i take the tyres off my wheels as ive superglued them on and knackered the wheels up but the tyres are still in pretty good nick.So want to try and save them! Any tips and advice I have tried soaking in hot water but that doesnt seem to loosen them Cheers in advance Jason
  7. They way i drive i think the spare car would get more use than the race car!!! When i keep watching on ebay the rolling chassis seem to go for quite alot of money
  8. Ive already got an eye on this seller i was trying to find out what you guys thought before i went ahead and purchased
  9. With me racing its most of them!! Nice idea in therory but when your on the track and it breaks its disheartening to find you cant race anymore but you can carry all the spares (unless you have a spare car i suppose)Its bound to be the one part you dont have if you carry loads of spares!
  10. I was told to look at a rolling chassis to use as spares for my TTo1 but looking at the prices some or most go for on ebay is it really worth it I think it would be better to buy the spares you need, as they are fairly cheap rather than having a whole car that you may only need one bit of! BUT i suppose if you already have a spare chassis you have the part to hand rather than having to go and buy it (not handy if your on a race meet) what do you lot reacon Is there certain spares you would have to hand before you start? Cheers Jason
  11. Cheers for that Went out for a few now having a few more
  12. Cheers for the warm welcome from everyone (even my son!!!)
  13. I guess alot is down to practise as well
  14. Hi been to my first race meeting today and tried out my car for the first time!!!! the car seems fine and the straight speed is as much as i can cope with at the moment till i get a bit more experience but im having real trouble controlling the car on corners. It was a particulary tight cornered track today but others were fairing far better! The course was outside in a school playground (tarmac surface) the club said not to use slicks due to the dust around so didnt know what to use as the ones with treads all look the same Any recommendations as i think control over speed will benifit me at the moment(no point having loads of power if i cant keep it on the track facing the right way! Cheers
